They are legit scammer. I've been scammed by this company, I'm glad I was able to report this to my bank's fraud department and based on my report they were able to help me win my claim against PayBack

I posted a one star review a few years back which got 20 helpful votes. I think it's temporarily removed since i can't seem to find it. It had a recovery letter, written by payback, to beg my bank to cover my losses in the scam website. My review also had a court order ordering payback to return my money. The US SEC have said these scam recovery companies don't do much in recovering anything https://www.sec.gov/oiea/investor-alerts-bulletins/ia_assetrecovery.html

It's better to just assume scam recovery companies are another form of scam. They just make you sign a contract to try and protect themselves.
