Can i cancel my provider once i've switched to numberbarn and still keep my number?

Answer:

Hi Damian, great question! Yes, once porting to NumberBarn is 100% complete, you can definitely cancel your service with your provider. Just make sure there aren't any additional telephone numbers or services on that plan that are important to you. Also, just keep in mind that if you have a contract coming up soon to port well in advance of that contract expiration. Porting is usually pretty quick but it's best to allow 3-10 business days just to be safe. Let me know if you have other questions. How long will it take to port a number from verizon to you and to port it back to verizon?

Answer:

Hey Ephraim, thank you for your question. In general, porting each way can take 3-10 business days because we're moving the number from wireless status to wireline and then back to wireless. Practically speaking, the whole process could take as little as a few days if everything works totally smoothly.
