Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Notarology staff and previous consumers.
If you paid for the signing agent course through NNA or Notary2Pro you have to take their exam. The NC Secretary of State does not have a specific signing agent course/class/exam.
The best thing to do now is get out there a hustle. Make sure you sign up with all the notary sites (Notary Rotary, Notary Cafe, Notary 123) and make sure you write a very GOOD bio on all these sites outlining your experience. The companies that search these data bases do read these bios and they will make or break whether the call you for the business. There are additional training resources that I would also recommend such as Notary2Pro. Especially if you are new to this business. Right now, as the interest rates have started to climb the business has slowed down to a crawl. Most of the signing services and title companies have their preferred vendors who have worked with them for years and are trying to keep their preferred agents busy so they don't leave. It's a very competitive business right now. So don't quit your day job just yet.
