My guess is they ran out of gold for your particular game and rather than notifying customers, they are taking your money and seeing who will bother to file a dispute to get their money back. They will not respond to you if you try to reach them directly. However, if you file a dispute via the Paypal resolution centre (or with your credit card company), you will probably get a refund quite promptly, as I did. Good luck.
