Answer:
Completely legit in my experience. I've collected tokens and checked them out for ethereum.

Answer:
Minds was my gateway into the realm of cryptocurrency and decentralised finance. So I earned some crypto on Minds, then found out that I could use it to invest in things. There's a whole alternate financial system being built where the rules are written in code so equal for all, there are no banks controlling everything, the people profit and everything is community owned and decentralised. Would never have found it without using Minds.
Oh and it's also a great social media site.

Answer:
There aren't any other social media sites which pay you in cryptocurrency to use them. Also it's community owned, free speech and open source. What's not to like?
