Have others found that meetup.com's messaging service will not allow the sharing of email addresses, as i have? how is it that a payed service can be so outrageously control freak about what information we volunteer to share with particular, unique others in the meetup group? crazy! also, have others found that meetup's customer service dept. is basically a giant garbage can into which all communications to them go? they never have answered my urgent question to them -- months and months ago!

Answer:

I respect the fact that Meetup does not share email addresses. Many other social networking sites do the same. This is a level of protection that some groups like mine need. It is not difficult to get someone's email if they want you to have it. As for Meetups customer service, yes I agree that they do need some restructuring.

People are who they are. If they are not acting like you would prefer, move on or try to find a way to ask to be included.
