Answer:
Just book with delta, air france or klm and save yourself the headache of dealing with Lufthansa. Its definitely worth it to pay slightly more and not screw yourself over if anything goes wrong. These assholes also charge for luggage now even though their website says they dont and just about no international flights charges for your 1st 50 pound bag.
