Why does LegalZoom have low ratings?

Pretty much everything everyone else said. Customer service is non-existing, you can call 100 times, your chances of reaching someone and/or getting a call back are pretty much the same...zero. They do have a disclaimer on their site, pertaining to the "legal" services they DO NOT offer. However, their advertising campaign, and what they actually do is very misleading. Many, if not all of the services you can do yourself, just check with the secretary of state for the appropriate forms. If there are any mistakes, it's cheaper to have an attorney review them, than paying legalzoom. They charge upwards of $500 for services that typically cost $150-$200. I called for 3 weeks regarding my articles, I received two return phone calls, both were automated messages. They sent me a paper application for an EIN #, the IRS has automated the application for that process. The finished product they sent me is very well packaged and accurate. They even sent a stamp for a seal, it was the process between sending the initial payment and receiving those materials that was very unprofessional.

It just a website that tricks you into it by convincing you that you do not need a lawyer for so many things, and they have put some forms together that's all.
They charge you for so many unnecessary things that you are not even aware. And, when you realize and want refund, they will not refund.
so basically they make money by committing fraud. THEY MUST SHUT DOWN.

I reported legalzoom to the bbb because they said they would refund my 'registered agent' fee and never did. it's been over a month. the bbb won't even do anything about them. they have 'automated' responses to a lot of their questions that you may ask. they don't respond because, they don't care. they just want your money, and then they hope they don't have to do anything for you later.

I called Legal Zoom for the Nth time the other day. this time I left a message (nobody seems to be on their desk everytime I call a legal zoom number. It was an extension number 1131. SHe never returned my call and its been two days since. This is why LZ have low ratings in this site. Customer service is almost non-existent. They seem to have a person monitoring this site and responding to complaints and questions. why can't LZ do that from their customer support base?
