Huh... great question to be honest...
Well. As it says, your spraeds are fixed... but not always... here is the deal frined:
WHen trading spreads matter right, especially if you trade with in zoomed in timeframes like several minutes or even tick-based then spread are curcial... so. Standard Floating account speakds for itself, spraeds float, they can get wider due to volatility or get thinner as well... while on the Standard Fixed, as the name suggests, it is fixed... however, Standard Fixed Spreads during Midnight session around 11pm to 2am, if not mitake, time zone GMT+2, will be changed to Standard Floating spreads... and that is due to the broker...
Now, if to be precise about pluses and minuses of fixed spreads, I think this:
-for pros it is great there is a level of predictability. It means u dont need to worry about if the spead will go and change widely, I mean broaden of course...
-for downsides in some situations floating spreads will simply have thinner difference, therefor it will be moe plausible to have them...
