is the only way to get the report is to pay for it?

There is no charge for the general IQ score. That is available in your account at IQTest.com, and was also emailed to the address you entered on the registration page following the test.
We offer a detailed analysis of your score for $14.95, but it is not required to see the free general IQ score.

If you want to get the full report about the fancy 13 abilities, then yes. The general score is sent to you via mail.
