Question:

Hello, if i have an order delivered to england will i have to pay any extra tax or duty fees?

Answer:

You may have to pay import taxes and/or customs duties. You may also be required to pay a brokerage (handling) fee for the shipment. Orders over £15 may be charged a Value Added Tax (around 20%), a Customs Duty (around 12%) and a flat £8 as a handling charge.

Question:

I see quite a steep price difference when it comes to purchasing supplements. example: zma by optimum nutrition(180 pills) costs rs. 3225. 00 on amazon... and the same quantity costs rs. 1644. 00 such price differences cause concern and worry on the genuineness of this site.

Answer:

IHerb (http://in.iherb.com/) is asking for extra amounts on delivery - even for the fully paid (including shipping charge) order to India. Whereas the order was placed on their Indian site itself. It's a hidden and unwanted cost on the customers without any prior information on the order documents... so the customer is not really aware about the final price / cost of the product which is really unacceptable. It seems a kind of cheating to me as the site is trapping the customers by showing lower prices of the products compared with its other competitors like amazon and healthkart. Whereas the final-price (including the unauthentic / hidden cost) is really more than its competitors. Moreover after reporting this incident to my bank (through which I made the payment in full), they said it's not a secured site for online payments!

Question:

I want to move to india in about a year and a half, is it really hard to get orders from you shipped to india?

Answer:

It can be complicated to get orders delivered in India. You need to have specific documents submitted to customs before they release the package to you. Also they do require you to pay customs fees and taxes which can be pretty high. Since laws change so quickly with customs, it would be a good idea to check back with us when you have moved so we can see the latest requirements and fees.

Question:

Hi, how much is the taxes while shipping to norway?

Answer:

Here is what we have learned about Norway. You may have to pay import taxes and/or customs duties. Orders over 350NOK (Between $28 to $35) via DHL could be subject to Value Added Tax (12% to 25%) + Additional Shipping Fees of around $15 to $19 and Orders over 1000 NOK (around $166) via DHL could be subject to Value Added Tax (12% to 25%) + Additional Shipping Fees of around $34. Norwegian Customs does not allow Folic Acid, Folate, or Vitamin B Complex products; Bromelain and Paba are restricted. Most of our Norwegian customers prefer the Airmail shipping as they seem to get through customs without being taxed as much.

Question:

I want to know how much is the taxes while shipping to india?

Answer:

You may have to pay import taxes, Customs duties and/or a brokerage (handling) fee for your order. Unfortunately we do not know how much these charges will be. These charges are applied by your customs office and you will be billed directly for them. Please check with the Customs Office of India to see if you will be subject to any fees or taxes and if you can import the items you wish to order without any additional licenses or permits needed.

Question:

Hi, i am very concerned as i am expecting a delivery on thursday, i paid in pounds and thought you were based in england. i have been asked to pay £22.00 for the delivery which i don't have, what will happen to my order

Answer:

We apologize that you were unaware that we were located in the United States and your package would be considered an import into your country. Unfortunately, iHerb.com cannot control these additional costs since they are brought by the government and not by iHerb.com. Please understand that if you choose to deny the package, the shipping company will send it back to iHerb's facility where you will be refunded for the cost of the items minus any return shipping fees. If the return shipping cost is more than the amount of the shipment, the package will be abandoned and their will be no refund available.

Question:

Answer:

Thank you for your question. IHerb is able to offer the prices that we do for two reasons. First. Buying power. Due to iHerb's order volume we can get the products from our vendors at extremely low prices and we can pass that savings on to you. Secondly, we do not have a brick and mortar store. We are an online retailer only so we do not have a lot of the overhead expenses that most retail stores have to cover.

Question:

Answer:

We have customers that ship products to the UAE. We have not received any negative feedback from our customers in Dubai about having any issues getting their product delivered. You may have to pay import taxes, Customs duties and/or a brokerage (handling) fee for your order. These charges are separate from your shipping charge and you will be billed directly for them. Please check with the Customs Office of UAE to see if you will be subject to any fees or taxes and if you can import the items you wish to order without any additional licenses or permits needed.
