NO,NO,NO! You must make absolutely sure that the battery is fully charged BEFORE you use it! It tells you that in the instructions! Please read the entire instructions from cover to cover!

In my experience, they are fully charged when arrive. You must let battery run down to a couple of yellow bars before charging about the first 12 times to help with battery life.
