It may depend. Did you pay by credit card? When I paid by credit card, I went through a process with my bank and from what I now best recall, I told the people at where I bank that my statement says that a certain "company" withdrew a certain amount of money from my account when I ordered something from them but I never got the item and I suspect that the company is fraudulent. So the bank had me sign some papers so that they investigate the company and contact them. The bank personnel said that it is possible that the company may not answer to any requests for information from the bank in which case the money will be refunded and the company considered unreachable. Days went by. Maybe weeks and the bank eventually refunded my money because they could not reach the company. The bank did not give me any information about who they tried to contact or which company address or phone number they tried to use.
