I am a art graduate from an accredited University in the USA. I went in with fair skills expecting to significantly increase my talent but upon graduation I could draw nor paint any better than the day I entered the program. Four years wasted and several thousand dollars above and beyond the cost of the Drawing Acadmey. I have been observing the Academy for some time now and getting ready to commit to the program. Everything I have researched, except refund policy, on the Drawing Academy appears to be legitimate. As a non-member I have asked questions regarding technique and etc., and have received a response. These were soon terminated because I was and an not a paying member.
I can understand the skepticism about the course because there are so many scams. Yet there are many colleges and Universities offering on-line courses leading to a degree, even the University I graduated from has been doing on-line courses for years now.
If you search You Tube Art programing you can find courses offered from $100 or less up to $5000. I have seen these courses and have been solicited. All of the ones I looked at taught only technique and some delt with hyper-realism, facinating at best but nothing compared to Fine Art. Albeit these courses may be legitimate some are really expensive because of the time and effort and staff and etc., required to put the videos together. Then the Artist generating these programs have to make a living and pay staff and developers and etc.
In my estimation the Drawing Academy seems to be the best deal especially regarding ones obtaining a Fine Art Education if and only if you are interested in developing your skills as a fine artist.
