Drawing Academy Questions & Answers

I want to read more reviews on this "Drawing Academy" from people that have paid for the full course.

I've suspicions at present.

1 - misrepresentation: In the PDF brochure "Vladimir London" is stated to be "an internationally published author of many fine art
books"
but when I checked "Vladimir London" on amazon,
all I could find is 5 e-books:
- 3 unrated
- 1 rated very poorly; one stating that it seemed like the book only served as an advertisement for the academy; which the review found unethical; because it was like asking a person to pay to be advertised to.
- 1 with a single, somewhat suspect, brief, but glowing, 5-star review....

2 - the pricing model: you pay one fee with all at once, or in installments; instead of a monthly model. It seems geared to get a good chunk of change from you; right off the bat; so if the content is actually poor... then... well they already have your money for a "lifetime membership"

3 - Their "refund policy" page is extremely long; and doesn't seem to say anything definite in regards to refunds other than "send us an email within 120 days from the purchase date and we will review your case."
Not very comforting.

I was very excited to purchase this course but was sorely disappointed. You will learn some stuff in the videos but often times there is not a lot of explanation as to how to do the things that he is drawing. Much is left out. And his style does not very conducive to learning. The dialogue is written out verbatim below each video and I feel like he is simply reading it.

Very helpful review. I agree with you. I read the whole refund policy. I have to say it make me feel the academy does not believe in themselves with such a poor refund policy. Best part is to find out that the LIFETIME means only lifetime of a class which can be altered and can be made unavailable to those who quite before paying for 3 months.

I am a art graduate from an accredited University in the USA. I went in with fair skills expecting to significantly increase my talent but upon graduation I could draw nor paint any better than the day I entered the program. Four years wasted and several thousand dollars above and beyond the cost of the Drawing Acadmey. I have been observing the Academy for some time now and getting ready to commit to the program. Everything I have researched, except refund policy, on the Drawing Academy appears to be legitimate. As a non-member I have asked questions regarding technique and etc., and have received a response. These were soon terminated because I was and an not a paying member.
I can understand the skepticism about the course because there are so many scams. Yet there are many colleges and Universities offering on-line courses leading to a degree, even the University I graduated from has been doing on-line courses for years now.
If you search You Tube Art programing you can find courses offered from $100 or less up to $5000. I have seen these courses and have been solicited. All of the ones I looked at taught only technique and some delt with hyper-realism, facinating at best but nothing compared to Fine Art. Albeit these courses may be legitimate some are really expensive because of the time and effort and staff and etc., required to put the videos together. Then the Artist generating these programs have to make a living and pay staff and developers and etc.
In my estimation the Drawing Academy seems to be the best deal especially regarding ones obtaining a Fine Art Education if and only if you are interested in developing your skills as a fine artist.

I am afraid this course is not for you. You are more interested how to get your money back than the quality of the course , the lessons are very well made and really interesting. You can easily make yourself an idea because they are some free lessons and you can check . From my perspective it is not important who is Vladimir London in real life. The lesson are really good. You are asking for the fame and not for the quality of the teaching. You also can have the free accès if you are winning the contest proposed each season. I tried myself and I don't regret. It is the best I could find on internet. I can assure te support is real and I allways had a pertinent answer to my questions. The drawing technique is explained very clear . For me it is a five star course !

Hi Robert,

I'm one of the Drawing Academy students who actually paid the full course fee after free trial membership.

This course is great and tutors are very helpful. My every email to teachers is answered promptly with such attention and in detail that makes me feel very special.

You can see mine and other students’ feedback and artworks here:
