What petitions, if any, have ever made a difference in the voting process? I'm not seeing value for my time or energy.

I have no faith that any of these petitions accomplishes any measurable result. However, I will sign a petition that is sent to any of the Congressional leaders or reps from my area. I would rather send them my thoughts directly.
