Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from BikesDirect staff and previous consumers.
Hi there are many different bikes that will suit your purposes. Please email bd4salesteam@aol.com with your budget and more info and they'll get you on the perfect bike :)
Hi -that is a very good bike and many customers love it. The closest comparisons would be the Elite 8 Motobecane which has a much more comfortable suspension fork. Get this bike over the Swift 8 if you are riding a bit rougher roads. http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/elite_8-speed-nexus.htm The closest Windsor is the Rapide which has more gears and no suspension fork. Get this bike if you have hills / headwinds and mostly smooth roads http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/windsor/flat-bar-hybrid-road-bikes/rapide-hybrid-flatbar-road.htm Please grab one asap - these bikes always sell out fast. Our #1 complaint from customers is that our bikes sell too quickly :)
Hi - please email bikesdirectbikes@aol.com - you can order from us with special procedures :) See this link also: http://www.bikesdirect.com/frequent.htm#overseas Q: Do you ship internationally? (Back to Top of Page Click Here) A: Not directly, sorry. There are far too many customs restrictions to be able to accommodate this. Our website DOES NOT ACCEPT international credit cards. Orders cannot be placed from international IP addresses. However, we can still sell you a bike; read on how: Canadians see below. All other international customers, if you make arrangements with a freight forwarding company or with family or friends in the U.S. we can sell you a bike but payment MUST BE MADE with a wire transfer or with a U.S. Money order. Please email bikesdirectbikes@aol.com for details
Hi - depends on the bike. Most need front wheel installed, attach bars, insert saddle/post, inflate tires and check shifting adjustments. Attach pedals. Tighten / check overall bike parts even those that arrived installed - check out this assembly page: There is a MTB video and a cruiser assembly video along with other helpful info and more videos:) http://www.bikesdirect.com/instructionhelp.htm
Hi - our salesteam answers emails by the next business day. If you emailed on Friday after 5pm - they should have an answer to you later today. These saddles are very comfy but they are not super wide nor super narrow. About medium width. Both bikes have Shimano derailleurs that shift very well, the biggest difference is slight finish and perhaps more durable with you go to higher levels. Basically- Get the Swift21 if you are riding only in fair weather and not too hilly areas as it has 21 gears. Get the Swift PRO if you ride sometimes in rain since the disc brakes will give you powerful all weather braking. The 24 speed drivetrain has a wider range so you'll climb hills easier and ride more efficiently overall.
