I booked a hotel in Melbourne for this coming weekend. But, afterwards, I read negative reviews about your company, especially someone who received a large extra charge on his credit card for a foreign transaction. This better not happen to me. Hopefully, all is legit with this company, as negative exposure is not what you need. Should I be worried as I haven't heard about this company until now

I had the same experience. I booked and paid for an Australian hotel from within Australia but got a foreign transaction fee on my credit card. This is because Amoma process bookings in France to avoid paying tax in Australia.

I wasn't made aware of the additional payment - very underhanded business practice! NEVER BOOKING THROUGH AMOMA AGAIN.

You should call the hotel directly and double-check that they have the reservation. Don't ever ever book with them again. I had a horrible experience and was nearly left without a room in Nairobi.
