This piece of!@#$ needs to die in a fiery pit of hell, as well as the people who made it. The teachers who love it are being paid and none of those reveiws are real. Most of the time, it will give you an explanation, and it will be $#*!tier than a 50 year old public port-a-potty. Then it will deduct points from your points that you JUST $#*!ING EARNED! I would rather get my legs and arms chopped off, then get thrown in a pit of boiling oil, and after that, get my spinal cord get ripped out, than do another $#*!ing lesson.

“Mental torture”

This website is an absolute nightmare. It is ruining my mental health. I spend hours every day doing aleks topics. The fact that it makes you start over if you get a problem wrong makes me want to just bang my head against the wall. The explanations dont even make any sense and there is just so many topics due in such short time. My teachers are saying they care about my mental health while they are making us do this website every night. Whoever made this website burn in hell

Aleks does a horrible job of explaining the wretched equations it presents, then fully expects you to be able to solve them. If you get one wrong, it takes away a point. The knowledge checks are even worse, every so often it gives you a 30 question knowledge check to "test" how much you know, but it only brings your score down, once you've gotten back to where you were, there's another.

Tip for consumers:
Teachers, dont use aleks unless you want your students to hate you andmath as a whole

This $#*!ty website is demonic as hell, it causes me so much stress and one time I had a mental breakdown in my bedroom because I kept on trying to solve a question but got it wrong. It's the same $#*!ing thing as IXL and Xtramath, it's $#*!ing horrible and if you want to be depressed, drained, and suicidal, I recommend this website. Whoever rates this 3 stars or higher is insane and doesn't belong in the world.

Let me jsut start off by saying aleks has to be one of the worst websites for education. I don't know if there was some lead in the air or somethin when they designed this website. But no one with one brain cell would call this a good website. Hell ive almost put a chunk of lead into my head because of aleks. I also have no clue what the $#*! the school was smoking when they though that aleks was a good idea, but $#*! give me some of that. I have never heard anyone say that they enjoy or learned anything from aleks

Tip for consumers:
dont use aleks. if your school uses aleks then leave. dont expect to be happy.

Jackass mother$#*!ing Aleks gives me a hard time, especially when you need a protractor for every $#*!ing problem. It also takes points away everytime you get an answer wrong. Oh, and don't forget the $#*!ass knowledge checks, Those are $#*!ing horrible. I'd rather be gangbanged by Esma and Yuki than use this $#*!ty $#*! software again.

Aleks is so bad I want to actually throw the tablet across the room I have to do 20 aleks topics every week and my teacher doesn't teach us at all and gives us pdfs as homework and gives us less than a day to do it while she plays cookie clicker at her desk and literally got aleks questions wrong for students. If I find out where the company that made aleks is at they will end up like the people from no Russian in CoD and if you like doing aleks or you have students do aleks you are off coke and the magic blue crystals made in Walter whites labratory.

I would greatly appreciate whoever updates this site to stop subtracting points from the bracket you need to move on to the next topic. It frustrates me beyond belief--just because I get something wrong does not necessarily mean I do not understand the concept as a whole. I just want to move on through my objectives easily without being stuck on one for hours on end (because that has happened.) Also, add more detail into the answers explanation because I feel as if ALEKS tries to trick us in order to be stuck on a topic for longer. It does not explain how or way it got the answer as it did, and it just confuses me more. Thank you.

Aleks made my school life terrible. Aleks does a horrible job of explaining how to solve math equations. As a student currently, it would be outstanding to remove Aleks from the schools. As a student in the advanced middle school courses, math is already stressful enough, covering standards for this year, and next year, and pre algebra. It would benefit everything to implement a more basic math learning system. In the photo below, that says 50% took me awhile to complete. We have limited time, and Aleks only gives you 1 percent for every 3 topics.

You know, as a algebra kid I gotta say this sucks butt. The problems are definetly not for 8th grade algebra kids and are more like high schooler stuff. Plus Aleks doesn't fully explain and renders you confused abut how to solve a simple problem. Then the answer doesn't make any sense. Also the knowledge checks like to give you unreasonably hard questions and failure to get them right results in redoing the SAME. GOD DARN. LESSONS.

After I use this app every day i want to pour bleach in my eyes and rip them out and then jump into a bullet ant pit and then peel all of my natural fingernails off. It brings sadness and anger out of everyone. The ALEKS developerss should delete the app from existence and then kill themselves. I want to tie a noose if this doesn't work then I will light myself ablaze. God $#*!ing dammit. I want to kill people after this. (The murder part is not real, but it is the worst app ever, don't buy it) THANKS, ALEKS!

Undergrad Chem student here. ALEKS could be great, but there are several things that make it miserable:

1. If your answer isn't EXACTLY correct with the correct amount of significant digits, you're marked wrong. Some of the problems require 10+ different steps to go through - imagine spending 15 minutes working through a massive problem, and then being marked wrong for putting down 16.6 instead of 17.

2. You need to get 2-3 questions correct in a row to complete a topic. If you are one question away from completion and get the next question wrong, you are moved backwards and now have to get 2 in a row correct. If you miss the next one, you are now back to square one and need 3 in a row. What this means is that it is very, very possible for you to be stuck in an endless loop of getting a correct answer, and then getting a wrong answer and being pushed backwards. Which is made even worse by my 3rd point...

3. Most of the time, the "explanations" ALEKS gives are incredibly confusing and complicated. If you can't find someone on youtube who explains a particular topic, you're gonna have a bad time.

Finally, let's imagine a scenario involving everything listed above. You're trapped in an endless cycle of spending HOURS performing calculations, getting a question right, then getting the next one wrong, etc. You spend 20 minutes trying to barely understand the explanation... finally, when you're absolutely exhausted working the same types of incredibly tedious problems, you have one left... you spend another 15 minutes calculating everything, you press "check" and... NOPE. You put down 173.84 instead of 173.8. You're stuck in the cycle.

This leaves people discouraged, unmotivated, and exhausted, while learning very little. It needs to be less punishing, more motivating, and less confusing in its explanations. Without these changes, it will continue to be a painful, disheartening experience for students.

Tip for consumers:
If you're not already a genius, this will be painful for you.

I wanted to die. I almost destroyed my iMac Pro with my face. You will die. ALEKS is the perfect way to turn your students into psychotic evil, wicked demons and make them jump off 1,000ft bridges cuz that's less stressful than ALEKS. You learn Nothing! Every student feels like smashing the creator of ALEKS by shoving a bazooka up his butt cheeks and blowing him into outer space and torturing him in the process. It is easier to wrestle 500 million lions than to finish topics on ALEKS.

Tip for consumers:
If you want your family to be brutally slaughtered and destroyed and completely annihilated, just do some ALEKS topics.

I've only used this site for about two weeks now (my college has recently switched over from Pearson, which, until this point, I thought was the worst piece of flaming garbage regarding math software) and I already want to die. I would genuinely rather be in the Holocaust than ever even think about this software again in my life. I would rather get drugged and molested by Bill Cosby. I would say that I hope the creator of this software dies, but death is too good for this man. He needs to suffer. It's easier to balance on top of the world's first plane, carrying seventeen angry, hungry alligators, all while thirty-two escaped convicts beat you to death and violate you than even think about using this hellspawn site. If Epstein was still alive, I would rather fly to his island and have a sleepover with him, R. Kelly, and Bill Cosby for a week straight than go back on ALEKS. I'm losing sleep, brain cells, and sanity. The "kNoWlEdGe ChEcKs" fill me with an indescribable sense of sheer dread. Teachers, if you're reading this, never use this software, and if you do, there's a special place in hell for you. I would rather have a thirteen inch cactus shoved in all of my holes than ever work with this site again.

It isn't as bad as everyone says it is. My teacher assigned it to my class, and I thought it was good. Ignore all of the one-star folks, they probably just had a bad experience with it. My main problem wasn't the website, but the fact I had to do it for over an hour every day.

Math, the bane of existence for many, has haunted humanity since the dawn of time. Its cold, unforgiving grasp ensnares unsuspecting souls in a web of confusion and despair. From the ominous symbols of algebra to the mind-numbing complexity of calculus, math is a labyrinth of torment, designed to confound and frustrate.

Firstly, let's consider its absurdity. Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to invent such a convoluted system of numbers and operations? Counting sheep would be a more productive use of time than attempting to decipher the enigmatic mysteries of trigonometry.

Furthermore, math lacks practicality. When was the last time anyone used calculus to calculate the trajectory of a falling apple? Its relevance in everyday life is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Moreover, math is a breeding ground for anxiety and stress. The mere thought of a looming math test is enough to induce heart palpitations and night sweats. The pressure to excel in a subject that seems determined to crush our spirits is nothing short of cruel and unusual punishment.

In conclusion, math is an insidious force that threatens to consume us all. Its complexities, lack of practicality, and detrimental effects on mental health make it a scourge upon humanity. It's high time we liberated ourselves from the shackles of this oppressive discipline and embraced a world free from the tyranny of numbers.

I don't like the way it tries to 'teach' you. If you get 1 or 2 wrong, all your previous work is undone. It's very stressful and not good at all. This should be labelled a rage causing game. No district should buy it. Period.

I was forced to use this program in my college for chemistry and oh my God, I can't think of a worse program a college forces you to work with. I could ramble on and on about this program, but it will belittle you for the littlest things. Like, you could get an answer correct, but it will mark you as incorrect just because you wrote 3 instead of 3.00. Terrible.
