These sites are so addicting, they reduce my productivity by at least 25%.
LinkedIn pretty much rocks~
You have to pay attention to a couple of things, otherwise it can provide you with all kinds of great connections if you're in business:
1. DISABLE the "Public Profile"
2. Don't get into too much drama with the discussion groups
3. Make sure you take the time to explore all that it has to offer.
I would definitely recommend this site. You can also find great job availability and even make a few friends along the way. A large number of the guys in my industry are on here and I love the new products posts and other insider stuff I find.
I LOVE the concept of SiteJabber~ Easy to use, and it has a fun 'feel' to it for average folks who would like a "Consumer Reports" for internet commerce and service sites. I believe that with some advertising and good affiliate linking on the net, this could easily become the #1 destination for all consumers to find ratings and reviews. Keep up the good work, I'll be spreading the word at my end.
This is home base for me. Nothing more I can say...be a part of the Nation!
OK OK~ What can I say, I'm a die-hard Lindsay Lohan fan, and have always been.
This is the new website (replaced the original "LLRocks.com" fan site and it's pretty cool. But you have to love Lindsay (or be interested in the family's shenanigans" to enjoy it. Lots of great pictures of Lindsay ~sigh~ , also her posts are there. Shopping and news and other features. Hey, everybody has to love somebody right? Lindsay's my girl...and I'm happy to see her getting her act back together. She's been through a lot and the tabloid news shredded her for a long time.
LINDSAY YOU ROCK~ smooches
I guess, as the movie title suggests, this is "As Good As It Gets".
Pretty good site if you want to play a little bit of online poker. Tournaments are plentiful and you can get a lot of enjoyment for small buy-ins so that you don't risk a pile of cash. Not sure I really TRUST online poker when all is said and done.
Easy to navigate, screens aren't hard on the eyes (table backgrounds and such).
The FREE version is www.pokerstars.net but I would think that is a total waste of time.
Although the selection is a bit limited, this site is pretty easy to navigate and the streaming quality is great so far. You do have to create an account (it's FREE but they will bother you to do some 'surveys', no big deal).
All in all, a good experience. There are several movies that I've watched and so far no problems...and you can't beat the price! Check it out.
This is a personal favorite for music downloads. This site was formerly www.GoMusic.ru (you can draw your conclusions about the ".ru" suffix heh). The selection is quite broad, and the average song only costs about $0.9! Most complete albums run around $1.25 or so.
I recommend that you buy a prepaid visa or mastercard for $50 to use sites like this. So far no problems, but I do that mostly anyway. I don't put live credit or debit card numbers out on the internet for shopping or sites like this. But I've gotten a lot of music I wanted at a great price and they update it pretty regularly.
Bernie Goldberg is a gas! (also: www.BernardGoldberg.com)
His articles and commentary on the "Lame Stream Media" are terrific. Very entertaining stuff. If you think that you are an "elite" liberal and smarter than the regular folks, Bernie will beat you down and put you in your place.
His new "Lame Stream Media" store is great. Polos, T-Shirts, Mugs and stuff with cool Lame Stream Media graphics. He even has a selection that says "I care about Global Warming as much as the next guy...unless the next guy is Al Gore" OMG too funny. This stuff is great...you know I ordered mine. So if you want to have some fun go to this site. Bernie is the guy who worked in network media for almost 30 years and wrote the book "A Slobbering Love Affair...the true and pathetic story of the torrid romance between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media" and it's available there (although priced better on Amazon.com).
If you've never been to NationalGeographic.com, you really must spend a little time there. It's a fascinating website, with all sorts of interesting products and video collections...far too many to list in this review.
The site is very well organized and just beautiful to tool around on. Their non-profit mission is to keep the planet in order. Keeping their left-leaning politics aside (they are huge propogandists for the climate change argument), they have been doing a great job for over a century. The site is a terrific tour of all sorts of exotic and interesting artifacts. It is also a terrific gift -purchase resource, especially if you're looking for something really unique. It's a must visit!
For you golfers, Brad Brewer is a fantastic instructor!
Brad Brewer (of the Daily Brew on GolfChannel.com and The Golf Channel) has terrific instructional videos that are easy to understand and will definitely help you with you game. Links to his "Daily Brew" are on the homepage of this website also.
PGA Professionals like Brad are the heart and soul of our game, and I highly recommend that you check him out! You have nothing to lose but a few strokes off your game.
With baseball season fast approaching, I had to do a LOVE YOU review for MLB.COM!
This is Major League Baseball's Official website, and has everything a baseball fan could possibly want. It just ain't baseball season without MLB.COM.
Stats, scores, shopping, MLB news, links to all the team sites, videos, it's all here. This is my homepage from April to October on my main computer.
