I pretty much always buy my tickets on-line and have been doing so ever since you could. I have never had a worse experience then I have had with Fandango. I made a mistake, plain and simple, I clicked on the date I was purchasing the tickets and not on the date I needed. Unfortunately, the Movie was in 15 minutes of purchasing the tickets. Realizing my mistake, I immediately did an on-line chat and they gave me the standard canned response, it is within the two-hour cancellation window. Admitting to seeing that I just purchased the tickets 5 minutes ago, they still could do nothing, I asked for a supervisor and they said they would email me. Three days later I received the email with the same canned response. I have ordered tickets from Ticketmaster, items from individual stores, airline tickets, and groupon events and when they see it was a mistake they always are able to do something. We are human beings and mistakes are made, they should take that into account. After reading all the other reviews, just know they are not the only game in town, I ordered the tickets from AMC and the fee was half the price.
