I have to agree... OpticsPlanet has morphed into a 1st class libtard vendor who's customer services are non existent and flat out lies about "free shipping over x amount of $$$" Over the past 3 months I have spent a boat load of cash with them, constantly going over the required amount of purchase to qualify for free shipping and each and EVERY time had to pay. Today was the last draw - I ordered a "restricted" item (according to them) which was a knife and they wanted me to show my federal credentials which I did by iPhone photo and emailed (for their review) and today I get another notice that I need a letter from my department stating that I have "permission" to purchase such an item. Excuse me... I'm a Federal Officer... authorized by law to purchase restricted items which aid in the execution of my duties as such. Nope, we're done with OP, found what I was looking for on another site, purchased it with NO issues. The kicker... I tried to close my account with OP only to have them say that "you can request to delete your personal information so it will not be sold." Umm... that's NOT what I asked. I said to close my account with immediate effect, nothing about privacy issues. Finally it got done but they hemmed and hawwed in the process.

Close your account, don't look back... there are plenty of vendors out there that appreciate and reward you for trusting them with your hard-earned dollars. OP has turned into a joke, and I'm even more disappointed in myself for staying with them this long.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away....you've been warned

Products used:
Lights, handguards, optics just to name a few

It's taken me a bit to write this review mainly because I'm still hot in how this company can get away with straight up robbing people then hide behind nomenclature of a policy that no one knows about and is hidden on their website.

I recently was going to go on a long overdue Vacation and booked my flight through Orbitz. I had used them in the past and thought their services were good. Yep that's all changed now.

I work for the FED as a contractor and part of my job is maintaining qualifications to keep my credentials current and in good standing. Sometimes there might be a class or seminar that accepts contractors that will enhance my standing career wise with the FED. It is rare that this happens but more on this later as it factors in.

So I book my flight for some long overdue downtime. I choose to take the insurance option and pay the extra money in case I have to cancel or reschedule as my job with the FED can be demanding and it's happened before. A couple of days later after booking my flight my supervisors inform me that there is an opening for a training class that I've been trying forever to get a slot. Like I said it's rare this happens and it would best to delay the vacation and take the slot because who knows when the next opportunity will be?

So I agree and begin the process of canceling my flight and starting the insurance process to recoup my money which is a little less than a $1000 bucks. Now keep in mind I've booked this trip 6 weeks in advance and we're about 1 week after booking.

So of course Orbitz customer service hotline is in India - so it takes me about 2 hours of dropped calls, disconnections and language barriers to finally cancel my reservation. I inquire about the insurance clause and get told that's another number and company that I have to file a "claim" with. Are you serious? Why do I have to file a claim? That should be automatic with the cancellation! Orbitz had no problem taking my money on the website for the "insurance" option. But NO! I have to file...

So I start the process. Then this is where it goes all wrong. I have to file with AIG... fill out a very long and cumbersome form on line, submit, then "wait" for a decision. DECISION!?!?! FOR WHAT!?!?!

2 weeks go by and then I get an email that says that not only is the claim denied, but I will NOT BE GETTING A REFUND! What the hell is insurance for then!?!?! According to AIG "the reason stated is not covered by the insurance policy". BTW on Obritz website cancellation policies are not even MENTIONED.

Rounds of emails begin and still nothing. I get there should be a additional charge or fee for a cancellation... but complete forfeiture of full price of the ticket is completely unacceptable. That is why it's called INSURANCE. I should have gotten at least a partial from this at the very least, or been given the option to reschedule my flights. But no, nothing, nada, zilch.

So now I'm dealing with Orbitz on the matter and getting nowhere 6 weeks later. The flight and vacation dates has come and gone and not only am I bitter about the entire experience, Orbitz and AIG just stole a grand from me without blinking an eye. I might have well been held up at gun point in the street and it's taking everything I have not to write experlitives or swear on this review because I'm still hot, hot, hot about the whole thing.

1st experience purchasing (or trying to purchase) from TrueFacet was a complete disaster! I was looking to get a couple of Tag Heuer watches for me and my lady. Looked the the website and thought it strange that they would have multiple inventory listed and marked as "sold". My thought is if the inventory is "sold" then remove it from the website. No confusion, no "awwww man I wanted that..." This should have been my 1st warning...

So I found what I was looking for and went through the checkout process thinking everything was good and got the auto-generated confirmation. Cut to 11 days later, I finally got an email from a "live person" saying that one of the watches was no longer available. I asked if the other "Tag" I ordered was still good and was told that "it is with our watchmaker and will ship within 10-14 days" which puts it at 3+weeks since I ordered the pieces in the 1st place!

I wasn't too happy about that but I said ok... at least my gal was going to get her "Tag". 2 days later I still see I'm getting charged for both watches on my order with TrueFacet. Another round of emails and was told that the charge (for the watch that wan't available anymore) would be removed "tomorrow".

Now I'm getting kinda upset... 1st TrueFacet waits almost 2 weeks to tell me that one watch isn't available, then tells me that it would be another 2 weeks for the other to ship, then doesn't update the order accordingly. Grrrrrrrr...

3rd round of emails and I finally said "... look, just cancel the entire order... I'm getting NOWHERE with you guys... no communication, bad inventory accuracy... you've still haven't updated my order in 48hrs, btw - still shows full price for both watches... and I'm not dealing with your mistakes anymore.

So I then get another email (4th round) from TrueFacet stating that they will update my order to reflect only the 1 "Tag" watch which should have already been done so balance would be correct. Yeah... ok... I guess...

Here comes the kicker... I then get ANOTHER email (round 5) saying if I could please authorize payment AGAIN on the 1 "Tag" because TrueFacet "accidently" cancelled the entire order...

HUH?!?!?!

Wow... if TrueFacet is having trouble here... what's the "authenticity" process like? Not sure if I will ever buy... or try to buy from these "professionals". Maybe they do good work... maybe not. But when your dealing with buyers who are spending thousands of dollars with you... you do NOT make mistakes like this.

Period...

I'am glad that I found out about this site before spending thousands of dollars on credits which I have read the horror stories there of.
Long story short, I became close to a girl "Yuan"and started to develop some feelings based on our letters and chats. But something kept telling me that something is not right here, as the saying "if it's too good to be true then it probably is".
As a test I created a fake profile as a professional athlete and posted a fake picture as to cast the widest "net" possible. I added a few favorites one of which was the woman previously mentioned. I waited a couple of days and without doing anything and got a TON of emails from the vultures on the site "claiming" to be single and wanting to contact me.
I then proceeded to log on and my lady known as "Yuan" invited me to chat saying how she loves "athletes!" Yeah I bet you do...
Now comes the beautiful part - I started to make chit chat about this and that and "Yuan" gave my "fake" pro athlete persona the same lines that she had used on my real profile when I was chatting with her! It is worth noting that we had "nicknames" for each other and I used this to my advantage.
As the conversation developed I asked what music she liked and what her favorite song was. She told me of course what song she liked as on my real profile. I then said that I had a friend who loved that song and sang it all the time. His name is "Le" which is the nickname she gave me on my real profile. WHOOOOOOPS!
She then asked if I knew "Le" which I responded, "yes, very well -he is typing to you right now" Thant's when she broke down said that this site was fake, 90 percent of the girls work for the site and get paid a percentage of the credit spent by chumps like me. She felt horrible (yeah right) and told me that she wanted to say something but could not in fear of losing her job (yeah right). I told her that karma is a $#*! and one day her actions now will come back to haunt her, the politely told her to drop dead and die. I logged in a couple of hours later as my pro athlete persona and there she was, back on line and tricking some unlucky bastard out of their money. The machine rolls on.
So do yourself a favor don't read any of the "positive" reviews here, chances are they are fictitious and most likely from Asiandate.com to counter the real truth about this site. If you have money (and LOTS of it) and are looking for entertainment go ahead and amuse yourself. Just know that none of it is real.
But if you are really looking for that soul mate and love, read this again and stay away at all cost.
