  • Hibiki-an

Hibiki-An ships directly from Kyoto Japan, which is where they grow their tea. I've been buying tea and accessories from Hibiki-An for a few years now. Every six weeks I reorder. I buy a fairly inexpensive Sencha Superior - two packages for $48 so that I get free shipping and no sales tax. The tea all comes from Kyoto Japan and their customer service is excellent. All the tea arrives to me in California quickly and in really beautiful packaging. From time to time they send me a gift of another tea to try out. Besides loose tea for Sencha they sell it in tea bags which is really convenient for traveling. I am pretty obsessed with this tea and drink it every morning from a little clay teapot I bought from them too. Once they sent me the wrong tea and I alerted them and they sent me the correct tea immediately. Additionally their tea arrives with excellent brewing instructions. They have excellent communications and will answer any questions. If I ever go to Japan I want to visit their tea fields.
Beware Green Tea from China. There are major tea sellers who advertise Japanese Senccha tea but it is actually grown in China in a Japanese style. If Green Tea seems to be a real bargain check for China as origin and check for mercury and lead.

I was into using Lumosity the first moths and my family showed interest so I upgraded to the family plan. My family used it for a bit and then quit. There was no email that the auto renewal and I had stopped using it when I discovered a cc bill for $130 renewal. I contacted them to at minimum downgrade to a single membership and a pro-rated refund but they wouldn't. Even thought I had my case escalated to manager they didn't budge. Honestly the games get boring and the more you use it the better your score gets. Don't know that you get smarter, but you might feel as so. If you sign up be sure to turn off auto renewal - they will probably offer you a deal at the end of your year to stay hooked up.

Tip for consumers:
turn off Auto Renewal in your member settings. If you forget about Lumosity at least you won't get dinged for another years service
