About Me

I love traveling and shopping, and anything that is "pet friendly". I am also quite fond of good customer service and I think sharing your opinions and good or bad experiences is important.

I find this site has many more choices than other hotel booking sites. It gives me results I have never seen anywhere else and often at much lower prices. Another great thing is that it also includes youth hostels and B&Bs which are not listed on other hotel comparison sites.

The only down side is that their star rating is totally wrong. I recommend checking the hotels out individually online before booking. A 3 stars hotel might actually be a 3 stars youth hostel so better to check EVERYTHING before booking.

I will use this site again and I recommend it, it has worked out very well for me many times.

I have used this website to find hotel deal quite a few times and have never had a problem. It compares many companies that don't always show up on other sites and I found some good deals. Never had a problem, no complaints here, will use again and recommend.

I love this website, and I love the app which is great while traveling. I always double check any hotel on this website before booking.

Nothing but good things to say about this website, everyone should use it!

Purchased a few times from this website. Their prices are pretty cheap (typical online China-made store) but their shipping is ridiculously slow, I have never had an item arrive in under 7 weeks! Other than that it is OK, but nothing more.

I travel a lot for work an I used to always use this website to book my hotels. I was a silver member and I liked the free bookings I was able to get with my points. That all changed after this ordeal!

One day, I booked a room in Rome with my Amex and got a confirmation # from Hotels.com that everything was paid for and booked. A day later, the "hotel manager" contacts me, in a very unprofessional email, hard to understand and in broken English, saying they got my reservation from Expedia (which I later found out is the same as Hotels.com) and they do not accept "Amexo" and want me to send them another credit card info by email or they would cancel my booking. I explained that I would not send my credit card info to a total stranger over email, and that is why I had used hotels.com, because of the secure payment page and that I already had a booking confirmation number and a hotels.com email receipt saying my reservation was paid in full. The hotel had no secure payment page on their own website either. So finally, since they did not get any additional financial info from me, my reservation was canceled, and I ended up booking elsewhere for this trip.

Three months later, this same hotel charged my credit card (the same Amex they said they did not accept) for a full week's stay, months after the dates I had been in Rome! The hotel name was the same, but the dates were completely different. I contacted Hotels.com who told me, "sometimes we give the credit card information directly to the hotel, and normally they should accept the credit cards listed, but this situation in unusual from the hotels we deal with, please contact your credit card... blablablah". They also apologized and gave me a $100 coupon to use on my next reservation. I contested the hotel charge with my credit card, and had no problem getting my money back.

A month later, I tried to use the $100 hotels.com coupon I had been given, and it never worked. Tried with 3 different hotels, in a major city, where the stay was well over double that amount, and it was never valid anywhere. Sent Hotels.com "silver member customer service" an email on this and never got a reply. I did not even bother to call hotels.com at this point. I simply will never use this website again.

Any company that can take my credit card info from their secured payment page and hand it over to any shady person over email, leading it to be fraudulently used months later, does not deserve my business!

Contrary to other reviewers, I love this email provider, but only because I use it exclusively for my junk mail. I use it as an extra email for online stores I don't visit often or newsletters. It also has nice extensions, instead *******@hotmail *******@gmail, you can pick something different. I *******@gardener and I use it for all the gardening sites newsletters I sign up for. They also don't ask for security, or verification, or phone number ect, just basic email.

I wouldn't think of paying to upgrade though, or using my personal info, business info or credit card info on this website. Just a great extra email for my unimportant stuff!

I ordered custom mugs and custom t-shirts from them. The quality of the product was great, the printing was exactly as I had picked, the price was cheaper than other sites I had looked at for the same items and the shipping was fairly fast. Nothing but good things to say about my orders with them, will return and recommend.

I have bought many tickets from this site and have always been pleased. I have never had any problems with them and have found their prices to be slightly less than Expedia several times, especially when buying one-way tickets. No complaints here, will use again and recommend.

I only ordered 4 times from this website, but I have never had a problem. Sellers were all professional, my items arrived fast and in good condition. Alot of items are also very unique and it's fun to browse. No complaints here, will be shopping some more on this website.

I bought a wall mural on their website 2 months ago. It arrived fairly quickly (within a few weeks) and was well packaged. It was cheaper than any other store I had found, and the quality was great. The mural, once placed, looks absolutely amazing! Very pleased with the price, the quality and the service!

I ordered a custom logo for $5. It was to be delivered in 5 days. I was contacted by the designer, good communication, designed exactly what I wanted in the time said. Great deal for $5, I was very pleased.

There was a time when I loved shopping on this website. I got a few good deals and was very pleased, until one day I bought a groupon for a massage and reflexology session. I did not have a chance to use my coupon before it expired (missed it by 2 months) and was told by Groupon.ca that I would not lose this money, and could use the coupon for its face value ($50) at this business, at anytime. One month later, I called to book an appointment and the business had gone under. Contacted Goupon.ca but never got my money back. They basically sold me a coupon for a business that they probably knew was going under in 3 months, and claimed no responsibility. Total rip off! Won't be shopping there again, even if they gave everything for free!

My dress arrived after 8 weeks and the fabric is total $#@!. Threads everywhere, badly sewn together. It looked great in the picture though, but in reality it sucks! Don't even bother with this website, it's cheap but not even worth it!

I ordered a few shirts, under $10 each, and I did receive my order, but it took 5 weeks. The quality is not that great, but this was to be expected, as cheap fabric, poor workmanship and small sizes seems to be a standard for China-made clothing items. Shirts were cheaper than I would have paid here, and the shipping was free but super slow. Not incredibly happy with my order, but not totally disgusted either... MEH is just about right! I don't think I will be shopping there again.

Canadian buyers beware! Their tracking numbers only work in China, so if you don't receive your items, then they won't give you a refund. They simply say "Canada does not support China mail, please prove you have NOT received the item...". Since there is no way to prove you haven't received something, they just keep your money. And since they make you wait 60 days to open a dispute, it is then too late to complain to your credit card company. So you basically lost your money and there is nothing to do about it! Enjoy!
