Purchased a wii fit game and balance board it stated in stock and dispatched usually within 48hrs, also stated money not taken out of account untill goods are dispatched, lies on both counts!!! I called the company after a week to be told they were still waiting on delivery of the stock I then pointed out that it stated they had the item in stock and the girl told me she would correct it on web page I kept checking and this was not done for at least another week, i also pointed out that they say no money will be taken untill item is dipatched they couldnt tell me why my account had been touched!! I then cancelled my order and was told refund would take 4-7 days that was nearly 2 weeks ago and 2 fone calls and email later and Iam still waiting. very unsatisfied and £50 poorer customer.

Chris O. Judging from this and other reviews it looks like someone ought to put a stop to this behavior by this site. That someone is likely to be your local Trading Standards Office, because under UK laws, internet trading is regarded as the same as mail order and subject to the same regulations, if the company is trading in and from the UK. If the company is in the EU, or the EC or EEA or whatever they're calling it these days, there are "distance selling" regulations that still apply.
Note that simply because a site has a "dot co dot uk" domain name, that doesn't mean they are based in the UK. However, the trading standards people could find that out for you too.
Additionally and if you paid by credit card, you should report this to the card provider as non-delivery is a failed transaction and you should be insured by them. There may be some limit on the amount you need to have to spend to qualify for card insurance so you should check that with your card provider too.
Your local Trading Standards Office, depending on where you are, is likely to be in the phone book under the name of your local town or district council. As a matter of course, you should report this to them and if possible, by phone, in person, with a follow-up letter. As I recall, TSOs are hopelessly understaffed and overworked so it will pay to make sure they don't overlook you.
Please, let us know how you get on with this. Yours is by no means the first bad review of this site and we need to keep potential customers' attentions focused on it if we can.
Good luck!
Shirley P. Thankyou so much for this information, I actually came across this site by just constant googling words to find out how I could let others know of this site.
Thanks again
