I called to get some quick help with the new D850 I purchased. I was away from my desk computer and needed help figuring out why my camera's Continuous AF wasn't working. I admitted right off the bat that the camera was new to me and that I was probably just using it incorrectly.

To my surprise
-- the first person I called told me that AF-C was dropped from the D850.
-- So I called again. The second person insisted that Continuous AF simply meant the camera kept shooting, but it "did not have anything to do with the camera focusing." I pointed out that I was talking about "Continuous AutoFocus." She got super gruff and told me that she can't help me if all I want to do is argue.

I found the answer when I got back home on my computer.

I am at an utter loss to explain how the tech support at Nikon can be so utterly ignorant of the most basic camera stuff.

It's the classic case of a company that over-promises and under delivers. Their site makes the service looks pretty awesome. However--
1. The product is surprising hard to navigate for all but the most basic functions
2. The support for use of the site is pathetic (how hard it is really to do good quality videos to clearly explain the product you make?)
3. If you ever have to call technical support there is no #800 and I'm sure it's because they can't afford to take calls with all the issues this product has
4. When you email Tech Support they simply deny there's an issue. See attached.

Tip for consumers:
Find a site that has good product and tech support reviews.

Amazon is demonstrating some true Holiday spirit with deceptive promotional offerings. So deceptive their own support people don't understand it.

Watch out. Amazon will offer you $5.99 for Amazon Pantry items in exchange for accepting slower shipping options.

After 3 phone calls and nearly 1.5 hours on the phone, Amazon support was finally able to explain it.

It's only works for a very limited number of grocery items that Amazon sells directly themselves. You'll know because "the item will be marked as an Amazon Pantry item."

So I got two credits. About $10. I figured I would at least buy an item for free. I chose Vanilla extract for about $10. However, it was going to cost me $10 to get it. Doesn't make sense, right? Well, you can only use one credit at a time. So that means I can only use $5 to buy the $10 item. Then for any "pantry" items that Amazon sells you are charged $5 for a "boxing fee." Usually this is called shipping, and since I am an Amazon Prime Member, I expected my shipping would be free. Not the case. So in the end it would cost me $10 to get a $10 item as an Amazon Prime member, even with a $10 credit.
