My experience purchasing from Beautiful Halo has been an absolute headache. As some other reviews have stated, run as far as you can from this scam of a site.

Notice how by every item online says you can get a return or exchange within 15 days?

Wrong.

To get a refund from this site you practically have to sell them your first born. Let me tell you my story.

I purchased a few sweaters and a couple tees from their shop. After I ordered it turned out that one sweater was no longer in stock and so they called me and tried to act like they couldn't refund me the price, just give me store credit. I refused and eventually got the money back on my card.

Then I wait... and wait... and wait. I ordered my package on February 28th. Now it was March 23rd and my package still hadn't even shipped.

I submit a ticket on their site to cancel my order. They tell me that they sent out the order on the 19th so it couldn't be canceled. I asked them if it had been sent out then why is my order not marked as shipped? They played dumb and told me the same thing, it had been sent out the 19th. When it finally did ship the tracking number said it departed the warehouse on the 23rd. The same day I asked to cancel. How convenient.

Are you with me so far? That's two red flags.

So now you're probably wondering what happened when the items came.

Well, every single item was absolute trash. Each item:
-reeked of cigarettes
-was made of the worst, cheapest material (all of the sweaters are made of a shiny material)
-weirdly disproportionate and boxy in size

So I email them immediately asking for a refund and tell them what's wrong with each item.

They write back saying they need pictures of the sizes for proof. They want me to measure (?!) each item and if it's listed like the site says then it's "not our fault. "

What kind of clothing store wants you to measure their clothes for a refund?

I tell them, well what about the fabric of each? Again, they tell me to take pictures. I have no idea how I'm supposed to take pictures of me disliking the fabric. Or of the garments smelling like cigarettes.

And that's the end of my saga. We keep going in a loop with them asking me for "proof" and me asking how I can take proof of how a garment feels or smells.

This is truly the most absurd experience ever. Every time I talk to customer service, they purposely play dumb and lead the conversation in circles. The woman who takes care of customer service, Esther Lin, also pretends to be different women each time she emails me. (So far I've talked to "Jewel" and "Stella", as well as Esther. Maybe Candy or Scarlet will be next.)

Bizarre.

This is an absolute scam. The clothing is God awful. Do not hit submit. Trust me. These other reviews with glowing praise are fake--probably a part of their tumblr affiliation program where they compensate tumblr folk for good reviews of their clothing.

Take your business to a legitimate company, not a scam.

*Update 4/15: So they were going to give me a refund but get this--you have to ship the clothes back to China, which costs more than what you paid for the items. I bought about $100 worth of clothing and the shipping price was $145 through FedEx or $200 through UPS. Beautiful Halo demands a tracking number so it has to be an express delivery.

My point again is that have no real refund policy in place. I'm officially stuck with these items.
