OK folks, you've got it all wrong. The site itself is only a scam because there is no way to truly ensure fair play among the bidders. Take a look at the closed auctions, and you will see that there are many screen names that are winning the majority of the time.

Back when Beezid would actually show you when a sniper bid was placed you could actually see the collusion between the "different" accounts. You see, players would use their sniper bids to "rock" the room to sleep, then use another account to take the top spot when they were sure that they were the only active sniper in the room. When this was confirmed they would disable the sniper to allow their other account to win the auction. The closed auction list would show you a snapshot of the last 10 bids placed. Often you would see a combination of the same names in this shot. One would be the winner, and the others would've registered as snipers. I would simply look for other auctions where i saw the same account as a winner, and i would also find that the sniper was the same as the last. I then knew who was helping who, and could defend against them. I complained to Beezid, and instead of cleaning it up, they started showing the "Snipers" as regular bids. This prevents anyone from tracking the cheaters making it harder to play. If you play long enough, you realize that you are playing against teams of individuals that have a seemingly unlimited resources and accounts for stealing the auction from non-cheating players.

There are a ton more. The bottom line is that in order to win you MUST cheat. I am sick of complaining to no avail, so I hope this list will expose some of the cheaters, and Beezid for not doing more to investigate it or stop it. I makes me think that they are actually behind it. I logged on once at my friends house, and we were both shut down because we logged on to the same device. I find it hard to believe that these accounts could be subject to the same oversight.

For instance:
Saynototeamplay won 3 auctions THIS MORNING (32 gb ipod touch, remote helicopter, and 160gb ps3) and used only 20 bids total. These items were up for auction for a very long period.

Ipod - 840 total bids, auction length was over 10 hours. Winner spent 7 bids and 2 minutes on auction.

Ps3- 947 total bids. Winner spent 7 bids and 1 min 40 sec on auction.

That is some serious luck!
