I ordered a product from a merchant that only accepted PayPal. The merchant did not ship the product ordered. I contacted the merchant and the best they would offer was a partial refund and I would be allowed to keep the wrong product. I requested a full refund and they came back with a higher refund, but not the full amount. I escalated to PayPal to enlist their assistance and all they did was forward the request to the merchant who then responded with a partial refund less than ALL the earlier amounts! I pushed once more and then I was offered a full refund AFTER I shipped the product back at MY EXPENSE. No, I don't think so. Getting no where I disputed the charge to my credit card and it was approved. Now PayPal has tagged my account as being limited because of the chargeback. Now I am required to supply PayPal with all sorts of identification to reactivate my account. I don't care to use their service any more so I thought I would close my account. Guess what, I still have to reactivate my account to be able to close it. No, that's not going to happen. Repeated requests for them to close the account only get the same response that makes me wonder if they have people actually dealing with customer complaints or some form of AI.

I do expect issues to come up from time to time, but I judge a company by how they handle the problems. PayPal has FAILED. It seems there is no one that has the ability to override the scripts they have in place and you are forced fit their scripts regardless what the request is about. Do think twice before using them and be prepared for a frustrating time if anything goes wrong.

Tip for consumers:
Keep in mind you are dealing with a merchant and PayPal. PayPal is no help if there is a issue with what the merchant is selling and even their resolution tips aren't followed.

Today I got a call from an at&t customer telling me she has been receiving emails from at&t with my account activity that has included products ordered, shipping addresses, and phone numbers! Granted a lot of that is probably available to someone with simple internet skills, but to have a company like at&t sending it is a big time failure.

I've got a call into speak with someone, but told it could be 72 hours for a call back. I guess customer info security is not a big concern to them. :(

At&t website incomplete

This weekend has been horrible trying to use the at&t website. I entered an order for a new line on my account on Friday. Come Saturday morning the order was cancelled. When I called in I was told it was flagged as fraud. The agent walked me through booking the order and I booked a second order for a new line. Everything looked fine all day Sunday, but come Monday not only was the ordered cancelled by my account was flagged for fraud! All lines were down and my login stated it was suspended! I called in again and I was told they are having a lot of problems with online ordering and only a manager can put through an order. I was told it would be up to two hours to get a callback. That time is up and I'm on hold for an agent.

This is not the only issue I've had with at&t this weekend. I can't access my MicroCell Management page and no one there knows how to do that. I also noted that on Friday there were no links to be able to look at or pay my bill online! The page is going through some changes as I can now get to bill paying, but things are changing. This haphazard web release would not have been acceptable and should not be considered acceptable for a company the size of at&t.

I thought this service would be great, well they keep botching it. I signed up for one-a-day annual, and it started out great. Then they started getting blocked by theaters not allowing access to their loyalty program (can't get points for tickets bought with MP card). Then they started changing the plan limiting what can be seen when. I get an email saying my annual plan will be reinstated but not renewable when over, ok. Then their support pretty much became unavailable with support issues summarily closed without be addressed (and I was trying to point out app failures). Now it seems they are back to limiting annual plans to three movies a week. Just can't say what's going to happen next.

Work the numbers and consider the benefits and if it works for you fine, but it seems every week they are trying something else and it's not being communicated.

I have been a LastPass member for several years. It seems their renewal process has a flaw. I have made a referral that extended my account. But it seems they don't update the payment renewal date. I wants payment as of original renewal date and not when your account is ready to expire. I can see people losing track and missing out on the free month(s).

They carry more than just what's available in the stores so better chance to find what you want. Descriptions can be a bit conflicting where one product could be as needing assembly but as a single piece. It's a good place to start when checking things out.

Seems everything I find at BB&B is good quality. Not a lot of cheap stuff. This is reflected in their pricing too, but I buy things to use them and not have them break in the first month. The stores can be a bit intimidating with items stacked to the ceilings, not an issue with the website. Plus, being able to order on the web and then pick up at the store is nice.

I really like this site, but they have a major short coming. I am finding edits to listings beyond a simple review practically doesn't get done. I have flagged several listings with wrong addresses, duplicates, or being closed and that never seems to get processed and you get info on places that aren't there anymore when searching for suggestions where to go.

I have sent followups, and I get assurances they will make the change (not sure if those are from live beings or automated responses), yet they don't happen. I have one change since October and now the business has closed down!

Bad data is worst than no data. But since many of these "review" sites pride themselves on how many entries they have, they seem to be slow in taking data down or prefer to duplicate entries leaving things behind.

  • RetailMeNot

It seems RMN is pulling ads from various sources without verification. Many offers appear to be incomplete. Offers either being refused or the merchant denies knowing anything about RMN. Makes me feel like I'm trying to rip off the merchant.

Another issue with RMN is the lack of consistency. Offers made via the app may not show up on their website and vise versa. Terms are not accurate, for instance, must buy a combo when you don't. Yes, you must buy something, but doesn't need to be that. And many of the items you don't need to show a coupon or even the app screen.

Wish I can take them down to 1.5 stars... Not yet 1 star but heading that way. :(

Tip for consumers:
Regardless what the instructions say, ask about the offer when you arrive to see how they will handle it. Waiting until you're ready to leave may be too late.
