This is my 16th purchase from AliExpress and 13 of those purchases (which were charms, bracelets, necklace) were good; however, I purchased some shoes and this last time around I noticed that the seller did not ship. I contacted AliExpress and was told that there was nothing they could do. I requested to cancel the order twice and twice the seller rejected my cancellation. I wrote to the seller and said it's been ten days, why haven't my shoes been shipped? Seller wrote back to me saying the factory is busy. I thought to myself then why are you selling these shoes? After my second request to cancel (and the seller denying it again) AliExpress told me if the seller did not show it was shipped within 18 hours I would get my money back. Low and behold seller claims the order was shipped; however the tracking number shows nothing. I contacted paypal (because I paid through my debit Paypal card) and Paypal said there was nothing they could do, because the order shows completed. If it did not show completed, then Paypal could have put a stop on the payment.
Since I noticed the lack of buyer protection in spite of AliExpress claiming you are covered from start to finish with buyer protection, I have to rethink my purchases in the future. If I purchased through eBay I would be covered, but it does not look like AliExpress customer service is helpful.
I specifically told the seller to cancel and I did not want these shoes because I purchased another, but seller ignored my requests.
Now, if the shoes come in and they are not as described, Paypal said they could help; however, I would have to ship them back (which would cost more then what the shoes are worth). My advice is to be cautious about large purchases through AliExpress, because of the lack of buyer protection. My future purchases will be limited.
