My family and I are planning an overseas trip. We found good prices on for flights on Korean Airline on Cheapoair. So we made reservations. We want to sit together as a family, but Cheapoair has a high fee to reserve seats. I tried calling Korean Air since we are part of their frequent flier program. Korean Air said that Cheapoair did not process the reservation. So I call Cheapoair (the first of several calls). First, I have to listen to the insurance sales pitch. Then I'm offered a cheaper price for seat reservations ($14.95 per seat). But the issue about the reservation with Korean is unresolved. I get transferred to a manager who tells me the price of the ticket has gone up. I refuse to pay more and he drops the price increase. He tells me he just confirmed the reservation with Korean. So I call Korean Air back. The reservations are still not confirmed. I call CheapoAir again (long hold time, insurance sales pitch...). In one conversation, the representative tells me the flight is confirmed, I can reserve seats at no charge, I can reserve seats at a cost of $14.95 per seat and, finally, I can't reserve seats at all. I became so concerned with the company's lack of competence, I felt it was best to pay the $25 cancellation fee for fear that I would show up at the airport with no flight reservations.
