I signed up for freelancer maybe 6 months ago not sure. I hired someone and that person was an absolute nightmare. He was supposed to hyperlink a table of contents - did it wrong and then asked me to pay him more, then kept harassing me about wanting more work. So I switched to a different freelancer site and had good results. Now today I realize I've been paying $10 a month for my freelancer membership. It seems that if these things were legit, I might get a notification that I'm paying this.
I signed up for a one month membership. I really just wanted a one month membership. Suddenly today I received a few applications for a past job and yes... they renewed it. I can't even get my credit card out of their system without entering another valid card. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with a real person - all of their help functions are automated.
Hi Melissa, I apologize if you were unaware that all of our subscriptions do auto-renew until set to cancel. Your account can be downgraded or set to downgrade at the end of the billing cycle any time throughout your Premium Membership. Our Member Care Representative will refund the most recent charge within thirty days of it being brought to our attention as long as there was no Premium usage.
