Order a FPC connector for a Galaxy Tab. After I placed the order I noticed that I order the worng part. I immediatly sent and email asking for them to cancel the order or allow me to reorder the proper part. Got an auto email back saying they were on vacation for the week and they would try and look into it. Waited a week and emailed again with no response. After another week I got notified that the part was mailed out.

All I wanted was the proper part. Their resolution was for me to order the new part and they would ship it free. What a deal?

Do not use this company. Who goes on vacation and just ignores their company?

My biggest issue with Amazon is the reviews.

The have paid reviewers at the top of the lists. Don't see a conflict with someone being paid to review a product?

They lump all reviews for similar models, some models are vastly different in specs and configuration. You could have one model that is great and another model that is a POS but Amazon lumps them together and you don't know until someone posts a model number in their review. You will think a item is great when it is known to be defective. Amazon is well aware of this issue but will not do anything about it.

Don't ever use Amazon Services. First off, Amazon techs are subcontractors, nothing more. We have never set foot in a Amazon facility. Amazon does not actually vet their technicians. They have changed policies so many times due to techs going onsite drunk/high and stealing/breaking things at customers sites. I don't doubt that Amazon fixes all the issues but some items are not replaceable. Issues with businesses quoting one price then jacking it up when they get onsite.

Amazon returns are great, Customer service is great IF YOU USE THE PHONE. Email support is terrible, just like everyone else. Cut and paste responses that have no bearing on your issue.

I have no idea what this company is selling. The person on the phone couldn't explain and the website does not explain either. Cloud is all I get. If you can't even explain what service you provide then don't bother calling. If I need cloud services I would ONLY go with Amazon or MS.

Someone from this company called me and I stupidly agreed to a meeting. The guy kept calling HOURS BEFORE the time slot. He called me early while I was onsite with a business client and I just told him to stop calling and hung up. He now calls me every 1-2 days and does not stop. Save yourself the headache and just hangup when they call your business.

  • Microsoft Windows

Microsoft has turned into a joke of a company every since Bill Gates left and that jerk off Steve Balmer took over.

Windows 7 was great. Windows 8/8.1 was a joke. Windows 10 is an even bigger joke.

I run a computer repair shop and this is all from experience.
You get a free update to Windows 10 from 7 or 8. Sounds great. Driver support is beyond horrible. I have had numerous people come in and complain about Windows 10 getting put on their PC without approving it. Clicking on the X (the same button everyone has used since Win 95) in the corner of the popup actually APPROVES the update to win 10.

We could go on about the update process. MS has taken away your ability to control what drivers are used on your PC. Have a high end GPU and need to run a specific driver for a specific game? Better run another OS beside Win 10. MS will install whatever driver it feels is the best. Doesn't matter to them that a certain driver may cause freezing, audio popping or any number of other issues. MICROSOFT KNOWS BEST! MS also controls the update process. It will reboot WHENEVER IT WANTS. You could have 100 open office apps(unsaved) and the CPU running at 100% and the system will FORCE REBOOT. Every tried to reboot your PC when a office app was open? It says that a program is preventing windows from rebooting. Why? SO YOU DON'T LOSE WORK ON UNSAVED DOCS. MS specifically designed it so the system won't reboot when a office app is opened but not saved. Turns out that Windows 10 is too important for that and you can pray that office opens the file recovery window when it starts.

MS is constantly adding new features and whatnot to improve the OS. The problem is that its causing more issues than it solves. Update 1511 removed the ability to control drivers on your system. I have serviced about a dozen systems that had broken printers after the 1511 update. Printer says its working but only prints blank page. You have to completely uninstall your printer drivers before the upgrade (mainly HP printers). MS added a compressed memory feature that consumes extraordinary amounts of system resources. It works OK on newer systems but not so good on older systems without a lot of memory. Problem is that the feature was supposedly designed to improve performance on older systems. You cannot stop the 1511 update from being applied to your system. You cannot stop any updates.

And I didn't even mention that MS is selling your personal info to 3rd party affiliates for advertising.

TL: DR DON'T USE WINDOWS 10 UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE A BAD DAY. With many more to come later.

If you do then go to this site and Virus away.

Freeware sites like this are where you get bundled apps with malware and viruses.

How is this company still in business? And the geek squad? They hire the cheapest and unqualified people to work in their stores. Pricing is absurd. Usually they just quote some unrealistic price to confuse the customer and make it seem like they need a new PC, and then they get them to buy a new PC when their old one could have been repaired much cheaper by a qualified and highly skilled technician from any local PC shop.

Another store that preys on customers with little technical knowledge to sell unneeded equipment. Take 2 minutes and look at best buy google reviews. Every single store is 1/5 stars and dozens of bad reviews.

I stopped using newegg.com a few years ago and never looked back. Why? Well it all had to do with their shady returns. They would not offer returns on certain items unless it had the newegg iron egg guarantee, which you had to pay extra for.

I ordered a pair of headphones and was disappointed with how they fit. I tried to return them for another pair but newegg said I could only return them if I ordered a pair that was the same price or MORE expensive. I ordered a $150 set of headphones and there were no other options at the same price range so I could only buy a more expensive set ( the next pair of headphones were about $225-250. I asked if I could purchase a slightly cheaper set and add additional item to cover the difference so they did not have to issue any refunds, they said NO.

Why exactly would I shop at newegg if I can't return anything?

Newegg is great UNTIL you have to return something.

I would like to state that I used Newegg for both business and personal use for many years, spending thousands of dollars. Newegg makes it seem like they are doing you a favor by returning a product, whether it be due to recieving a DOA or just a POS item. Newegg changed sometime after 2005-2006 and their excellent customer service suffered greatly and now it just sucks. At one time I would have never even considered purchasing at any place other than Newegg but now I only use the site as a research tool for parts. They do have excellent pictures of items and complete descriptions of all product details.

Hi Matt,

We’re terribly sorry to hear about your return experience.

Our return policy varies between items and isn’t required to be (Iron Egg) Price Guarantee to be returned. You can find the return policy for the specific item in the Warranty & Returns tab on the product page.

We’d like to take a further look into this for you and provide you with any available options, so please feel free to email us at wecare@newegg.com with your order details.

Talk about pushy sales reps. This company preys on other companies that have no knowledge in technology. They makeup their own pricing on the fly. The price they came up with was a cut and paste of different services from godaddy, yellow pages and other that came to over $1100 a month LOL. 6 MONTH REQUIRED TERMS MINIMUM. Advertising so good they lock you into a 6 month contract.

You should NEVER do business with a company that will take control of you web presence. They will make you use SEPARATE DOMAIN NAME, SCREW YOUR BRAND. If you part ways with this company all the link juice (backlinks, social mentions, etc) you would have had is GONE. Im surprised they dont require you to use a different phone number as well.

I had no intention of leaving a review until the sales rep decided to try and force the sale.

UPDATE. 1-6-2016
If you receive a call from yodle I suggest you tell them you are out of business.
Now they are calling every week.
First they tell you that they don't want to take your valuable time, then its IM NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING but now that I have you on the phone I want to take 60 secs to tell you blah blah.
Yodle is adding fake 5 star reviews to pad all the bad reviews! Look at all the one sentence reviews about the site. FAKE FAKE FAKE. +1200 reviews LOL?

Tip for consumers:
If you receive a call from yodle I suggest you tell them you are out of business.

Jessica M. – Yodle Rep

Hi, Matt – Thank you for sharing your feedback with us on your Yodle sales call. However, I think it’s important to mention that we pride ourselves on partnering with more 50,000 small business customers, a large number of which are very happy with the online marketing services they receive from Yodle. You can see just some examples at this link: http://www.yodle.com/success-stories. Beyond that, we do not make up pricing on the fly. We offer a customized “marketing department-in-a-box” solution for local businesses. Based on our research, local businesses would have to pay at least twice as much money and purchase multiple point solutions to get something similar to Marketing Essentials, our primary product. Please feel free to reach me at jessica.mcginn@yodle.com or 646-753-6362 if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you.
