Gives banking advice. A price comparison site, with direct links to the major banks. fairly easy to use.
Also has FTSE info and there are money saving vouchers for major stores, holiday deals, tickets etc.
It bills itself as a money saving site and it is a good site for this purpose.
On the downside, the news section is pretty poor and the video section just has a lot of insurance videos.
Well Im not actually banking with santander at the moment but I am definately looking into switching to them.
For businesses they are offering free banking for life. My current free banking period is about to come to an end with one of the other leading companies so switching business accounts would be a good move.
Martin Lewis says this site is way better than any other for business banking.
The information on this site is very basic and can be found almost anywhere on the web. I suppose its handy having the market news, indexes and currency valuations in one place, but its not worth all the pop-ups and advertising when there are much better sites available.
It has al the top news stories in the financial world. The authors really know their stuff. In the past I have found their personal finance section a great asset.
This is the UK governments online resource for small businesses. It gives new or established businesses helpful advice in order to expand or survive. Very helpful for businesses wanting to secure a loan or grant.
Very nice resource. Thanks for reviewing it. In America we have something similar http://www.sba.gov/
Have you found the UK government to be supportive of small businesses?
I did find this site very valuable a few years ago when I and a partner started a new venture.
Unfortunately the site will no longer be available after november this year.
It will be missed.
I visit this site on a frequent basis. Its a site for everybody not just the elite, however I find it has mainly an american bias so not much to offer for us brits.
forbes has become a lot more accessible to everyday (or at least middle class) people these days, i agree with you. is there not a UK equivalent - the financial times?
This is a good site for financial information. It proudly boasts to being the financial website of the year and its not far wrong. I found its information on pensions very useful.
I use sage acoounts on a daily basis. The sage site is very good if you want to buy sage software but not very helpful for after sales help. I found myself constantly having to ring up the help desk for very petty problems when online help would have been far more useful.
