We have small hotel in Thailand, for one mistake of our Chanel manager system we went in over booking with one Chinese customer from booking.com.
We find another hotel for the customer only 50 meter from our resort and with better and bigger accommodation then our.
The customer was in contact with booking.com China which explain to the customer that: you can choose the accommodation you want and booking.com will pay the difference. Of course the customer go to the agency and book one hotel 3 times expensive then our and with all the comforts. Then say to us thanks for the help, explain to us what booking.com say to them and go. For us the case was close, we find the hotel and we assist them all the
Time. After one month we received the expensive bill from booking.com, of course we explain to them what happen, what they smart Chinese colleague say to the customer and we refuse to pay.
Today we received these e-mail:
Dear Hotel Partner,
It has come to our attention that your account is still overdue for payment.
After several attempts made by Booking.com to get overdue amounts paid, and having sent two payment reminders, unfortunately we will now proceed to suspend your Hotel from receiving any further new bookings.
Please be aware, should you not pay your invoices within 14 days (after suspension date), we will hand over the open invoices to a Debt Collection Agency which will result in extra costs. To prevent this from happening we will expect full payment for all overdue amounts.
When all overdue amounts have been paid, the requirements to work with Booking.com (on payment method) may change.
All invoices can be found online and are downloadable from your Hotels Booking.com site under the heading Finance/Invoices (https://admin.bookings.org/hotels/).

If you have a hotel and you have the possibility to get the booking by your self or in different way don't use booking.com, they will bring you in the condition of depending from them with bookings, they will get 15% commission for doing nothing not even collect the money for you from the customer and when you will have problems they will use their strong power and money for kick you with their arrogant behave.
