Although I have insurance with prescription drug coverage, a couple of medications are not covered at all. This year, 2016, in addition to those not covered, 1 went up to a $95. Co-pay per month! I saw a Goodrx advertisement on tv. I had nothing to lose by looking it up on the Internet. I was practically jumping with joy at the prices, number of places which accepted goodrx and close locations. Prior to this I really didn't know how I would pay for the necessary prescriptions. I thought others must be in the same predicament. I have told my doctors & their nurses/receptionists since they would know patients without insurance or poor prescription coverage. 2 told me their mother had expensive scripts not covered, this would be great for them.
FYI- just for an example, one of my medications covered last year and not this year, over $1,000. For 3 months. Yes, over one thousand dollars. I think 1300. With Goodrx, 57.87. Not all scripts are this dramatic of a savings, of course. My $95 copay med? $20. Give or take fifty cents.
You should call to be sure they do accept goodrx before choosing your pharmacy as others have stated. I have not had any problems, but have heard Sam's club no longer participates yet they are still listed on Goodrx site.
I cannot say enough good things about GoodRX. Tremendous savings at no charge.
Thanks!
