I purchased two books from DiscountBookSale.com on 06/07/2010 and of course was billed for that order. However, apart from that, without my knowledge I was also charged $19.95 TWICE on 06/14, once on 07/14/2010 and once on 08/14/2010. So totally I was charged 4*$19.95=$79.8 for a membership I never had known of and never had agreed to sign up for. I filed a dispute with Discover who agreed to investigate this and later on sent a letter to me saying that they think the transactions are valid. I called the BBV*DISCOUNTBOOKSALE at the number *******858 and asked my credit to be refunded for the service I never agreed. The guy who answered my call refused my requests and said that since I've already contacted my credit card company Discover they have nothing to do with it anymore. I called Discover and told them what happened. They said that if I don't agree with their investigation I'll have to write it down and send all accompanying documents to Discover for further investigation. I also asked if they're able to block BBV*DISCOUNTBOOKSALE from accessing my credit card again I was told that they would be UNABLE to do so. I also asked if I change my credit card number will it help stopping this from happening again and they said no it wouldn't help. Finally I asked what if I cancel my credit card and I was told that BBV*DISCOUNTBOOKSALE will still find ways to bill me. Friends, be aware!
I am going to prepare all the required documents asked from Discover and will follow up on this. I did receive an email on 09/01/2010 that my membership with BestBrandValues was canceled. I think that's the only result I got from my first filed complaint with Discover.
