I sent in a full bag with about 60 items - all brand names, near excellent condition. They accepted 12 pieces & I got $28.16. I now have the option to "cash out" - which means they send the money to my PayPal account and have to pay the fees there; or I can use it as a credit towards clothes off the site. I've always had garage sales to sell my old clothes, and consignment stores for my really nice stuff and have always earned $150 +. I'm extremely disappointed.
Not to mention, I sent my bag in September, and it is now November 6th and I just got my cashout balance. I know I sent in a lot of clothes, but that's too long.
NOW for my buying experience from ThredUP. I purchased a dress, and it stated that it was in excellent condition. When I received the dress, the strap was completely off. This was an easy fix - but how annoying when I'm expecting the condition that was listed - and don't try to bull$#*! me that it happened during shipping. There's not a mouse in the box!
Do your research, there are better ways to sell your old clothes.
