“Homeaway sabotages your listing if you "opt out" of its greedy new service fee.”

I'm disgusted by the new Homeaway/VRBO service fee and their bullying. I've refused to "opt in" for booking online and my bookings are down dramatically. Not one inquiry in March, though I'm usually fully booked by now.
I won't list again with these sites. What's the alternative? What are other formerly happy users doing?
