I suggest anyone who has had problems with Spokeo should report their credit card as being lost or stolen, and get a new card issued. The recurring charge will cease.

Memberships can range from a one-time purchase of a single report, to multiple month long recurring subscriptions. In order to initiate a subscription with Spokeo, a customer must navigate to our website and click on the "Sign Up" button or click on the "Get Full Results" button. The user is then required to enter in a full 16 digit credit or debit card number along with the card's matching security code, cardholder name, card expiration date, card billing zip code, and enter a valid email address that becomes the username associated with the account. Once this information has been entered, the Terms of Use agreement (which clearly state exactly how much a person will be charged on a monthly basis if that is the subscription you have selected) must be checked and agreed to and then the "Purchase" button must be hit. Once these actions are completed and the information is verified as valid and matching, the user must then fill out a brief survey and set an account password to begin using the subscription. A purchase confirmation receipt is also sent to the account's email address.
Should you wish to cancel, Spokeo allows you to disable subscription auto-renewal at any point during the subscription term. If you do so, this will ensure that you are only billed for the term initially purchased. You will continue to have full access to the Premium service until your payment expires. You can disable subscription auto-renewal through the Usage and Subscriptions page (under the "Account" button located on the upper-right corner of any Spokeo page), or via email or phone with a Spokeo Customer Care representative at 1-888-906-0850.
