Actually, this is one of the few Russian-based sites that is not a scam... and by that I mean that the site itself is not set up in a way to drain tons of money from guys without any real shot at finding a real girl. Certainly on every dating site there will be individual scammers but there don't seem to be a lot of those on here either. The way you can usually tell the legit sites is as follows:
1- In a given age range, say 18-35, there is a mix of average to hot women. On most scam sites, you literally see 90%+ of the girls 8 or better. This is simply not reality, not in any country in the world!
2- You can communicate with little restriction for free or without a ton of money. This is the case with this site. Totally free to communicate both ways. You can upgrade to premium for only $10 that gives you more perks but you don't need it. Scam sites will milk you dry... most charging $5-$10 PER E-MAIL and even more for video chat etc.
3- Response rate should be close to what you get on local sites. If you normally get a 10% response rate from local girls like on Match or something, you should probably see around that or only slightly higher, which has been my experience on this site. If you get anywhere close to 100% or if upon logging on, you get tons of IM pop-ups, trust me, it's a scam.

It's true that many Russian sites are bad, but this appears to be one of the few real and decent ones. I have no affiliation with this site whatsoever, but check it out if you want a real chance and don't have thousands to throw down the toilet.
