I needed a lamp I had ordered from Ebay to be collected, wrapped and delivered to me at a reasonable price. Most well known companies will not wrap items just collect and deliver. The company sends you details of any driver wanting your business - you pay Shiply a fee upfront and the rest is paid to the driver on the day.
The large pottery lamp was delivered smashed because the driver had allowed a member of the public onto his van who then dropped a chest of drawers on my lamp. This person did pay for the cost of the lamp, but in my shock (I had been searching for over 25years for such a lamp!) I paid the driver his fee.
Once I recovered from the shock I complained to Shiply as I wanted my money back (the driver must have been insured) but they ignored me. They then sent two emails a few weeks apart asking what I thought of their service and both times I gave a negative review and still no response.
Basically they just want your money and couldn't care less about customer service - its not as if they are not insured so cannot afford to give refunds in order to keep customers happy. If I had been given a refund I would probably have used them again as accidents happen, but as they are not interested whatsoever I will never use them again so please beware.
