Ordered some shoprite instacart groceries which was regrettable. Was given a rotting decaying head of lettuce, perishables not contained in a cooler with ice cream delivered melted all over the place, cheese soft and mushy, several purchased items 'unavailable', given the incorrect size of an item. Only partially refunded with the remainder given as a stupid coupon: for my next shopping order". Right. The instacart for keyfood falls into the same league. Pitiful deception against consumers. Never again.

  • LL Bean

2/6/16

LL Bean has a looong history and rep of peddling overpriced junk easily purchased on chinese wholesale sites for pennies on the dollar. Found more than a few of those items on the wholesale sites while LLB makes it look as though their merchandise is US-made. Not so big-time.

  • Etsy

2/6/16

I've seldom bought from etsy over the years, however, have noticed that recently in the past 5 years or so the site has been attracting china-made bulk lot garbage that can be easily purchased in a dollar store. The site used to be very particular about who and what is allowed to be sold, but no more. It's anything-goes for their bottom line. If I shop online I'll visit a retailer who has a confirmed history of honesty and forthrightness. Add to that I'll research the item first before buying from anyone. If it's a new site I'm interested in, then the research includes BBB and Consumer Affair complaints and reviews not to mention any FTC consumer grievances.

  • Costco

Like any other bulk grocery store, Costco has its issues though minor. I've never been disappointed with their food or merchandise. You have to know what you're buying, especially single item vs. bulk.

Overseas-made crap that is dangerous for kids of any age.

  • Best Buy

1/25/16

Be it online or a brick-and-morter store, BestBuy is way overpriced. In par with such high-cost places as PC Richards, their merchandise doesn't justify the expense and often low-quality goods.

  • Zappos

I've purchased a few items and only once had to return due to sizing issues. Liked the 'free shipping' until I realized the free ship cost is built into the price of the otherwise costly item. Still, I was never disappointed by the quality of their goods.

  • Walmart

12/17/15

walmart.com is a hit or miss type of online site. Their rejected or 'seconds' merchandise, especially clothing, is often sold online to the unsuspecting public. If it looks lousy upon delivery it's usually because it was a reject item to begin with. Add to that most of their merchandise is shipped directly from China, often of poor manufacturing.

  • Netflix

12/17/15

Except for their occasional down-time involving maintenance that they don't alert users to, I have a good selection of the shows I enjoy though I hope they'll offer more selections where it concerns older films, such as hulu offers.

  • Target

Hit or miss with target online. They should be careful about that lest they end up in the retail swamps with kmart.com/sears.com

  • Kohl's

12/17/15

Kohl's prices are often too high for serving working-class consumers. Much of their stuff is imported from China wholesalers since I've seen the same items on china wholesale sites for mere pennies. Really not worth shopping Kohl's except for small inconsequential items.

  • Pandora

Average use, nothing I can't get on cable or radio.

  • Amazon

12/17/15

Never had a problem with the site or seller goods. Only one complaint: amazon should have sellers indicate the country they're shipping from.

  • eBay

12/17/15

Shopped many times on ebay and learned it's all about the seller and his/her reputation. I've bought things from 5-star sellers and at times was disappointed so the high feedback doesn't always make a difference.

  • Staples

12/17/15

Staples used to be a good place to get office supplies at decent prices. In recent years, quality has gone down while prices went up.

  • Macy's

12/17/15

Quit shopping macys after it was discovered they were peddling dog fur from China (raccoon dog) and claiming it to be 'fox' on some of their outerwear.

  • Sears

12/17/15

Terrible low-quality clothing no doubt 'imported'. Don't waste your money and time from this joint that hides behind kmart. Ugh to both.

  • WomanWithin

12/17/15

Shopped at their website several times for my (overweight) motherinlaw who returned every single clothing item she bought. The clothing was stunningly poor quality, flimsy, and barely sewn together not to mention pricey with unrealistically high shipping costs. She finally gave up and shops at better-quality brick-and-mortar stores for her large size.

  • Kmart

12/17/15

Absolutely the worst of the worst if that's at all possible. kmart.com hiding behind sears. Com will offer nothing but fall-apart defective stuff. Returned items 3 times and will never shop there again. By the way... all their merchandise has a sears address. Awful.
