This site attempts to crowd source the tabloids by showing where celebrities have been spotted most recently. Based on the growth of sites like TMZ and the popularity of magazines like USWeekly, there is clearly strong consumer demand for such a service. While the site is still in the early days, as more people contribute to the site, the information will become more accurate and timely, making the site highly relevant to interested users.
If celebrity stalking is a hobby of yours, this site is for you!
Registering to vote is so important to our democracy. I don't understand how anybody could not love a site that enables you to register to vote. I vote in every election and the gubernatorial election is so important to the future of California that it is critical that you vote. In order for you to vote, you need to register first.
I think that the other people that reviewed the site don't fully understand the model and are giving the site a bad rap. While this seems like just another penny auction site (but for travel), the reality is that consumers that do not win the auction have the option to reuse their spent bids. In the Offandaway model, lost bids are translated to credits that users can use to select from a broader range of hotel rooms at standard Internet rates. This means that if you are going to New York City, you can take a swing to try and stay at a 5 star hotel; if that doesn't work out, you can reuse that credit through Offandaway to find the hotel room that you would have stayed in anyway...you don't lose any money. By giving you this opportunity to trade up, Offandaway gets the benefit of an affiliate fee for the hotel room you do book (or the unspent credit if you choose not to book). Every consumer can be a winner on this site...you just need to understand the rules before you begin to use the site.
Offandawy misrepresented itself on the lowest price guarantee. I use the Marriott Rewards website and I was quoted several lower price by being a senior citizen, a union member, government worker and AAA member. But Offandaway refused to honor the price matching guarantee.
a. I ended up paying a higher rate for staying in my regular frequent reward hotel.
b. I usually getting a free upgrade because a frequent stay customer, but by using Offandaway, I had to pay for my upgrade,.
c. The book now credits are only good for 30 days, and if you book for the luxury hotel, you are paying a much higher retail price than priceline.com. If you bid on priceline.com for a 5 star hotel, you are guaranteed to get a 5 star hotel with the lowest price. But you are not getting the lowest rate on Offandaway bidding.

I believe most of the book now credits after bidding would be lost by the bidders because there is a short 30 days time limitation, no cancellation and no refund policy.
Anything I want to listen is instantly at my fingertips. This is better than Pandora...it has every song I can think of and I can choose the order in which I listen to it. Not sure why the RIAA hasn't cracked down on this site yet, but I'm going to take advantage of this for as long as I can.
Gmail is the best webmail client out there. Finally, my inbox is organized thanks to threaded messages. The search is quick and works well (figures) and I'm able to track conversations much more easily than I ever have been able to before. Highly recommended!
Very slow and difficult to navigate. Coupled with the horrible customer service, I am thinking of switching banks...
I'm curious to know what bank you might switch to? I want to be able to access banking features from my mobile phone...or is that even really safe? I keep seeing these Chase commercials for that.
I'm pretty happy with BoA, because they gave me an account even after I went bankrupt and had nothing but a mailbox and a few bills to deposit. Wells Fargo, on the other hand, treated me like something stuck to a shoe and cautioned me that none of the big banks would touch me with the proverbial barge pole. Pretty uncool, that; they didn't want me but they didn't want me going to any of their competitors either. Fortunately I ignored them and walked into BoA, which happened to be next door.
BoA has an online-only account which has no charges, because basically you get nothing other than a debit card, but that was all I needed and it works for me. They also run a plan in which your odd cents are swept into a savings account, and it really does add up. First time I've saved anything in any bank account ever.
The bad news is that they are currently rolling out a beta of their new Web 2.0 site design, so expect it to get slower and harder to navigate any time now.
It seems like it has a lot of very useful information. However, it is all behind a registration wall and users are forced to enter their credit card for a "free trial". I have no desire to add another monthly subscription that I never use to my monthly expenses. Very disappointing.
This seat is perfect for the traveler that wants to make sure that he doesn't get a horrible seat on the plane. Not only does it give you plane layouts, but it tells you where electric outlets are and which seats are good/bad. I've found this site through google a number of times...now it will be the first place I go when I am planning a flight. Awesome!
$#@! is right. I hate this site. We ordered some mother's day cards last Saturday and had them shipped 2 day mail. This morning (3 business days later), we called them up because we still hadn't received the cards. No response. Called them back a few hours later and found out that they sent out the cards today...too late for delivery on Mother's Day. Poor customer service. Don't buy from these guys!
So funny and I love having them in my Facebook feed...it makes me laugh every time. Everybody should go to this site.
This is the best site for moms on the Internet. Moms can meet other moms in their area or in a similar situation to them. The community of moms is so warm and vibrant...it's really fantastic. This is useful for any mom, whether her child is 16 days or 16 years old.
Pandora keeps on getting better every day. I'm not sure whether or not the musicologists that categorize Pandora's music have been working overtime lately, but something about the site has changed over the past six months. The stations that they create are fantastic. Pandora gets me through my workday.
One of the more thoughtful blogs written by a VC - This is the Lightspeed Venture Partners blog. Every post that I've read has been written by Jeremy Liew, one of the partners at the firm. It does not promote the firm's various portfolio companies, but instead attempts to provide some thought leadership around financing, hiring, different consumer internet business models and product development -- three of the core issues facing any new entrepreneur. This blog is a useful resource for any entrepreneur. I definitely recommend it.
Great for a Guy on the Go!!! - They will read blog posts to you. This is exactly what I've been waiting for.
Cool new music - Go to this site, click on a name and you're instantly listening to a mix that somebody else put together. A great way to discover new music. They even make it easy to buy the song from Amazon.
Get back in touch with old friends - I'm now in touch with a bunch of friends from elementary school...all of this is thanks to Facebook! Thanks, Facebook!
Finally, a news site that provides in depth analysis - Their pieces are much more thoughtful than most of what you read on politics and the election.
Very Useful - I find all sorts of interesting video sites using sitejabber. The site's users must be online video connoisseurs because they know which sites are the best. Thanks, sitejabber!
