I previously wrote a review about this website, saying that they have taken over 3 weeks to deliver a cushion cover. Dresslily read my review and offered me a refund, and said I could still wait for the item to arrive. So I am happy with this outcome. Hopefully the item actually arrives though as it was part of a set of 3 for my sister's birthday... she received 2 but not the third and the tracking information that I paid extra for has not been updated for over 10 days. But I am glad they actually made the effort to resolve the issue, so may use this website again.

I used this site to create one document in December. I paid a monthly subscription fee of $24, which I was happy to pay to use the service. Then I cancelled my subscription a couple of weeks later after I had finished the document. 4 months later I discover my subscription was never cancelled! I emailled customer support - since I can't find a phone number for this company in Australia - and they refunded only 2 months to me, saying that is the maximum amount they are allowed to refund. It is a con to steal your money, don't subscribe to this site!

Edited - After numerous emails to customer support, they are still refusing to refund my money. They are saying that it wasn't cancelle back in December - which it absolutely was! When I clicked cancel it said "Cancellation Successful". And the account has not been accessed since December last year - there is proof of this in my lawdepot subscription. Customer support claims that they are unable to see when my account was last accessed and that they always will send an email when a cancellation has been made. This is all a huge lie, stay away from this website.

Edited (again) - Still more emails sent to customer support, and now they have the guts to finally respond to this review! I DID click cancel in December, and it DID say my subscription had been cancelled. Their system is set up to STEAL PEOPLE'S MONEY. I have emailled a PDF with PROOF that the account was not accessed singe 14th December 2015. They still refuse to refund my money. There is a glitch in the system that they are REFUSING to acknowledge - and REFUSING to fix. Stay away from this website.

Emma, as we have discussed, there is no cancellation on file until April 17/16. When we cancelled the account, we provided a two month courtesy refund which is the maximum refund that can be provided. When you cancel your account online, the message you receive is: "Your subscription has been cancelled" and there is close button below that to close the screen. Within a few minutes, we send you an email confirming the cancellation. We have checked your account thoroughly and we have also checked in case there was a duplicate account. We find one account only that was cancelled after your April 17/16 contact.

I know there are some bad reviews about these guys, but I have had an overall positive experience with Wix. I have been using them for years and have designed about 6 wesbties with them. Yes it's hard to get hold of their customer service, but when you do they're quite helpful. It takes a bit to learn how to create these sites, but once you do, you can make really groovy websites that look like a pro made them. Overall, from my experience, I would recommend these guys.

Update: To anyone who is having issues with freelancer.com, you can report them. If you google "Department of Trade and Industry Phillipines" and click on "Contact Us" it comes up with a list of emails for various *******@dti.gov.au is the Consumer Protection Group email. I highly recommend that everyone emails their sitejabber.com reviews to these guys, so we can get freelancer.com closed down!

Now here is my review:
I was grossly misinformed by freelancer support staff 3 times, which led me to pay $161 for a design that I didn't authorise. I told customer support staff that I would file a claim with paypal to get my money back, and they said "we don't advise doing this because it will cause an account issue". I filed a claim anyway, because that is coersion! And now feelancer are saying that my account is in a NEGATIVE balance of $161, and they have not paid any money to paypal. I am waiting for paypal to resolve this issue. I recommend steering clear of this site, it is very very dodgy.

Update: They have responded saying: Hi, Emma. Your account shows that you are currently having issues with regard to the deposits that you made. We strongly recommend you to do two things for this issue to be resolved: 1) Kindly refer to the Verification Center for further updates and/or instructions from our Support; 2) To coordinate with PayPal with regard to the deposit/s. We would like to assure you that we will assist you with your concern until your account issue is resolved. Thank you for your cooperation. Take care.

Firstly, their verification centre rejected my verification and CONTINUES to hold onto my money. I have sent so so many emails that have not been responded to - this is the first response via this website. Of course they will try to save face, but read all the other HUNDREDS of reviews on sitejabber.com for other people who have been scammed. It is beyond a joke. Let's all join together and get this site CLOSED DOWN once and for all!
