Frontline from Budge Pet Care made my dog very sick. Two hours after applying it he was vomiting, disoriented, agitated, it was awful for about 6 hours and the vet was closed. Turns out the product is made in Australia with totally different ingredients, don't buy from this company, pay the extra money and order it from PetEdge.com

T N. this is really sad. so sorry to hear it. he's okay now?
wendy L. The products are counterfeit. I purchased from this place trying to save money. I had used Advantage for 10yrs. but what I received from them had my animals full of fleas. Needless to say I went back to PetMeds and paid the extra to get the real Advantage.
Donna M. Sure wish I had read this website before I ordered it, but yes, my 16 year old border collie recovered well, bless his little heart. Even saw Frontline at Costco today, pretty good prices there too.
T N. Wow, places like this, that actually put our pets in danger and make them sick, are a whole other beast. The more honest reviews they receive, the better. And for legitimate sites, according to Wendy, like PetMeds, need all the positive feedback they can get so they can push out the fraudulent competition. Good to know about Costco - I think my family gets our Frontline at the vet, but probably Costco is cheaper.
Donna, you should think about writing a review for PetEdge so they can get the positive feedback they deserve. And Wendy, it'd be great to get a good review for PetMeds too.
Jenny J. I see reviews like this and wonder if the owner should even have a pet if they are unable to read a label. If you don't know the medicine and your pets dosage requirements, should you really be the person administering it? As to being fraudulent, are the people in other countries deliberately poisoning their pets? Please consider the source of all this disinformation. Drug companies are 100% interested in protecting their products and their profits. If you really think people and pets in other countries have different requirements and tolerances and that the FDA is the absolute arbiter of what is good or bad, feel free to overpay for the identical products.
wendy L. Jenny they are not identical products...I did my own research and found on the EPA website of what to look for to determine if they were in fact counterfeit products. Up til that time I never would have thought anyone would counterfeit these type of products. No I don't believe people are trying to intentionally poison our animals but the products I recieved were definately not true Advantage.
Robert F. the EPA website pertains to U.S. product packaging and U.S. product packaging only. The online company in question here is based in canada...thus the longer shipping times and the packaging differences in the product shipped from those outline on the EPA site.
I just got an order of Frontline Plus for large dogs. Knowing about the counterfeit Frontline market, I initially thought I had a counterfeit as outlined on the EPA site. However, more likely I have a product from Australia, as I did some googling and found the exact packaging shown on Australian pet supply sites.
I am still not sure if what I have is real. I do know the lot number on the box does in fact match the lot number on the applicator outer packaging. Supposedly, this is the main thing to check to determine if you have a fake.
