I purchased product from an online retailer that I suppose has let freeshipping.com advertise on their site, simply offering a "rebate" for my shipping charges on this order. The trusting soul I am, I provided my email address, name and debit card for what they claim is REQUIRED TO PROCESS MY REFUND. Today, I receive a charge to my card for an amount that's even more than the shipping. I never bought a membership, and in fact yesterday they solicited me by email with an offer to try it free. I hate companies that operate like this. And shame on me for not doing my research first, because I now see negative comments all over the internet.
Tip for consumers:
Just want to say, after posting this review, and sending them an email with almost the same details, "Mike" contacted me, apologized for the inconvenience and I did receive a refund in full. On that end, their customer service was respectable. I guess, however, if they didn't scam people in the first place, "Mike" wouldn't have to be their punching bag.
