NOOOOOO! Another Cheap Chinese Scam
Have to admit, I was snookered. Cute clothes, American sizing, CA address. But LinkShe is just another cheap Chinese scam.
I ordered 3 items and received a prompt response that I had registered to LinkShe. That was the 1st indicator there was an issue... the website I purchased from was Rosewe.com and reviews checked out. But I should know by now any persistent FaceBook advertiser is a scammer.
2nd indicator was payment at order, not at shipment. This is unacceptable. Reputable companies do NOT charge until shipment.
3rd indicator was the 5 weeks it took to receive the short-ship. No email sent that the order was shipping. It is obviously the customers responsibility to monitor the website which never indicated only 2 of the 3 items shipped. OK dress, OK sweatshirt. Nothing special, but I didnt pay anything special. The insert in the package notified me the 3rd item was backordered.
I tried to be patient, but 13 weeks following my order I still had not received the 3rd item. I (again) logged into the website and found they had closed the order as completed. I opened a ticket and Linkshe immediately closed my account. My email and password are no longer recognized, and there is no longer any trail back to my (supposedly completed) order. Ingenious. Im stuck. Linkshe claims they fulfilled my order. I know Im screwed.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM LINKSHE

Classic Bait and Switch. I thought this was illegal. How does Expedia get away with it?
My family and I are spending a week in Myrtle Beach this August. Wouldnt you know, it seems to be the most popular week of the summer. Ive been tracking airline fares for months to save the long 14 hour drive, but the fares are just cost prohibitive for a family of 4. I received an email from Expedia today saying they are offering 40% off for members. I clicked and found the best airfares and flights Ive seen and immediately went to book, along with an over-priced car rental. Filled in the credit card information and then Expedia notified me Oops. Our prices change quickly. Your price has been adjusted... And yes, the total was then $800+ more than the plans I had originally found and had clicked the Book button for. Fortunately I was paying attention and quickly cancelled the transaction.
OK I thought maybe it took me too long to research all the details and the price increased. So I started the transaction again, found the same flights at the same fair rates, along with the over-priced car rental and BING Oops. Our prices change quickly... Again $800+ was added to the total. Not my delay at all, just deceptive pricing and advertising.
Shocked that a large commercial travel site so flagrantly practices this bait and switch. GOODBYE Expedia. There are so many honest options. Dont patronize this business!

I thought I found a great hotel for a summer vacation in Myrtle Beach SC... but reservations were through Booking.com. I wish I'd done my research 1st.

1) A deposit of 1 night was required.
2) Free cancellation through 1 week prior to reservation.

Ok. Sounds good. I make the reservation - 6 months out. 2 weeks later I find the location was not what I wanted and cancelled. I received confirmation of the cancellation WITHOUT penalty.

Ok. Still sounds good. I get my credit card statement and I have a $10 interest charge... but I paid the statement in full (less the 1 night deposit to booking. Com that should have been credited).

Ok. Booking. Com Customer Service is non-existent so I contacted the hotel directly. They informed me they never received a cancellation from Booking.com. I needed to cancel the same way I booked.

Ok. Time to pursue direct contact with Booking.com - not online. IMPOSSIBLE. If you can find the number you're a detective, but it won't help because the line is unanswered. I did send multiple emails requesting cancellation to the hotel - but no response.

Ok. I disputed the charge on my credit card. That should avoid future charges and allow me to eventually get reimbursed. They advised me to call the hotel and demand cancellation and reimbursement directly.

Ok. Called the hotel again and was told I must make my cancellation request to the Front Desk Manager. Took 15 minutes but I finally got a representative for the Front Desk Manager to tell me the cancellation was being processed and I should receive my refund "shortly." Please, define shortly.

Ok. Now I get to check my credit card transactions daily looking for the refund. (I know, I should have done that when I cancelled with Booking.com.)

Whew. I'm tired. Wish I had just done my research about Booking.com up front and never made the reservation. Stay tuned. I'll let you know how long before I get my refund. (Beware - I will pursue this until fully resolved... but it should never be this difficult.)

JUST SAY NO to Booking.com

Order partial shipped. 1st shipment was poor quality (as expected for the price) but also I believe One Size Fits None. Large blouses don't even fit my XSmall daughter. Remaining pieces of order shipped after complaint sent but 2 weeks after the 4th of July... those cute Red, White, & Blue blouses were no longer wanted. I didn't even open the 2nd package based on notes on the Rosegal return page.
Then the real disaster began. Tickets are closed if you attempt to rate the service. Responses to return request started with what is your order #. You can't submit without an order #. Really? Then they want pictures. Why? Then they just stopped responding at all. After 9 requests to return the order number was blocked so I can no longer submit a ticket.
When I posted on SiteJabber they responded that an email was sent to me to resolve. Another Lie... there was no response to resolve. After posting again and on FB, Rosegal FINALLY responded - but told me to complete a RMA (not available), to send the goods back to China including "carefully printing the address in Chinese" and then they would issue a store credit. Who wants a store credit? No one wants to buy from Rosegal!
This company should be blocked from selling in the US. DO NOT BUY!
Pursuing refund through Pay Pal. GearBest continues to offer store credits. Who wants a store credit for worthless merchandise?
