OMG, I saw this quibid advertised on Alternet so I thought it could be trusted. I plan to notify them of this SCAM in hopes they will drop their adds. Like one person said, 'who pays for bids at an auction?' I thought it was like ebay, so I bid on a camcorder that said, $5.90, after giving them my credit card info, it immediately said I won it for $48. I sent their contact support... whatever, a very nasty email only to get a message saying it would take 2-3 business days for them to respond. I didn't complete their 'confirmation' thing hoping that the transaction wouldn't be completed. I haven't yet checked to see if they charged my credit card. I don't see how this can be legal. I will contact Clark Howard next and maybe with enough complaints these scumbags will be shut down!
