I recently reviewed kink.com and that has to be one of the best kink sites out there on the net. Now I am going to review the location of where they shoot kink.com videos.. the SF armory. You can buy a tour of their location and get to see some of the actors in the scenes! Definitely subscribe to kink.com before going on a tour as it is fun to see the same props and sets ahead of time. You have to buy your tour in advance as they almost always sell out the same day. For anyone visiting SF and into kink this should be on your list of things to do. Leave the kids at the hotel for this tour :)
I think this is the only site out there that really has an in depth exploration of kink/fetish/bdsm educational videos and my boyfriend joined a few months ago. On the plus side they cover almost every topic from rope bondage to sploshing. The videos are short and sweet and are of acceptable quality. It does appear that the people doing the talking have been in the scene for quite some time and have given talks on the subject matter before. I have attended workshops and classes for fetish and can recognize someone who really does get it vs an actor. The downside is that these people are not always the most attractive or charismatic lecturers. I understand that this is an educational and not an entertainment site, however, I think that I would be more inclined to keep paying for the site beyond a couple months if they had more of an entertainment component to their videos. They still get 5/5 stars because of the value of the videos on the site and for the fact that the actors are not actors but really are into the lifestyle. Would be nice if there was some blend of kink.com and kinkacademy though. I do hope this site continues to grow!
Fetishcon happens about the same time as comic con but lets just say it is a whole world away from the PG13 nature of the SD convention. For those of us who enjoy the spicier things in life such as fetish, BDSM, lifestyle, etc, go here...just pack your bags and take a trip to Florida. By far this is the best event of this genre and is so much better than the famed Folsom street fair of SF. Similar to the AVN convention but with much more of a fetish twist to it. Best part is the after parties. Somebody buy me a ticket!
Found this great lifestyle eco tour in costa rica here, might have to sign up and go!
http://www.losangelesadult.com/viewlisting.php?view=1166
the site has the usual listing of escorts and massage places, but I was surprised to also see some great events in LA too. I have been to some of the events they listed like Bliss (which you can read in my other reviews) and can vouch for some of the parties as being very sinful :)
Glad you like it. I go to losangelesadult.com most days just to check out the new escorts and find out about sexy parties in LA.
They have a twitter feed too
Finally a website where you can design your very own BDSM collar. Usually at the stores you only have a small selection and they never fit quite right. If you want to wear them all day (like many slaves do) you want a fashionable collar. Some are even somewhat work appropriate. I like the site as it guides you through the entire collar making process and you get to view it before they ship it to you. I just wish they also had a custom paddle site like this!!!
I love my ipad, but I just sold it and got an android tablet. My BF and I love to surf the naughty channels when out at a cafe .... just something about watching porn in public and Steve Jobs just doesn't like that. None of my favorites websites even work on the ipad.
This site here is an adult android app site that is a must bookmark for anyone who is a little bit naughty and has an android tablet. It is like the anti-iTunes store. Steve Jobs is famous for saying that anyone who wants to see adult movies can go buy android ...well, guess that is what I did... and now that Amazon.com works the same as iTunes and has just about all of the same songs and movies, who needs apple?
These guys offer this really amazing BDSM party called Bent, which is for kinky youth (meaning under 40) at the SFcitadel.org which I have also reviewed here. They also have classes and other goodies on their website. The people that run this site and party also were in charge of bondage-a-go-go which is another fab event and must see if you even remotely live near the SF area and are into this scene.
My friends and I got a cabana on sunday rehab for the mere price of $2500 and it was amazing!!! Just make sure if you go this route that you request the exact cabana you want in advance as they all cost the same price. Saturday is also great but has more tourists than locals. I think the "locals" are far more attractive :)
One of my favorites websites for all things kinky...but I think the best part of the site is the BDSM scenes. Very quality videos and if you just happen to ever visit SF, you can go on a tour of their dungeon and even witness live shoots complete with flogging. I can definitely tell you first hand that the red marks on the bottoms are not fake.
one of the best fetish site on the net and they have a really good magazine too. Their clothing items are excellent quality though a little bit out of my price range. Selection of item is good and Almost everything on the site stunning and original. The also promote their own fetish balls and parties. I am reviewing this site because they happen to have a parry in SF this weekend so we are going to visit CA just for this event!
I saw someone here on sitejabber trying to buy liquid latex and so I thought I would review this as the official site for the product and where to buy it. If you have never heard of liquid latex before, let me briefly explain....it comes in a jar and you pour or paint it on yourself or someone else. Let dry. Then you have an instant skin tight latex outfit to be worn for any fetish party or halloween. I once only wore liquid latex to a halloween party and the best part is tearing it off. BTW; disclaimer---please be hairless if you opt for this costume option or be into screaming when it comes off.
They cancelled their event less than 20 hours before it was supposed to take place stating they had financial problems. You would think they would have the foresight to figure this out more than 20 hours in advance. People booked hotel rooms, plane reservations, etc, but they didn't want to take a financial hit and therefore nobody will ever trust them again to buy tickets from them. I guess this is the end of the era for this website and event as I cannot see anyone ever planning on buying from this company again. Too bad, it was a good venue while it lasted. I would recommend if they ever launch this site again, DO NOT BUY TICKETS in advance unless you want to risk losing your money. I hope I get my money back from my credit card company.
This appears to be catering towards men however just like I can't resist reading Maxim now and then, I find this blog pretty funny. He even goes out of his way to point out scams like the Acai scams...

Very well designed blog and I don't know if it is run by just one guy but he really puts some serious effort in to this site.
Okay here is my deal on this site. It is not a scam. They indeed do try to hook you up with deals of the day in various cities. They have a great relationship with businesses and they do offer killer deals. The downside is that they have grown so fast that they apparently are having a hard time keeping up with all of the coupons and deals the businesses are offering. They also take money upfront and then share with the business, so this also presents a problem when the business does not honor the coupon or states the customer didn't read the fine print. The customer already purchased the coupon and as such it is too late for a refund. They may catch on but they really need to start executing better or people will get pissed off and no longer use their service. I would give it a try, but make sure you read the fine print on the coupon.
Since when is it NOT a scam when a "business" takes your money and you get nothing in return. I tried it and never heard from them again to confirm or thank me. WHen they rob you then it is a scam. Fooled once but never again. I will file complaint with the BBB.
I have called four times to use the coupon I bought with no return phone calls, it sounded too good to be true and obviously it was... I sent a complaint to Support of Groupon, but all they could do was contact the Cleaning Service in San Diego and ask them to respond to me. I guess my next call will be to my credit card company! My daughter and I both bought the cleaning service coupon, and obviously is is worthless! Buyer Beware of Americare Cleaning Services....
I spoke too soon, after complaining about getting no phone response..from the cleaning service coupon, Groupon refunded my $$ back to my credit card, and on the same day the company called to schedule my cleaning and to apologize for the overwhelming response they got that had put them behind. They wanted to schedule my cleaning and I told them, unfortunately the Groupon people had canceled my coupon, they said to not worry, they would honor the price, and to just pay by check... I was totally impressed! I am sorry that I did not give them a little bit more time..... I take back what I said! One of my friends in Tucson emailed me over this totally shocked as she uses Groupon Coupons all the time and finds them fantastic... Here is her response:
i love groupon1 i ahve bought sooo many u would not believe it and I have had no problem!! it is fabulous! i went to the best dentis i have ever been to here and had xrays, cleaning, exam for $69 and it was a $359 deal! Also went to a chiro practire who took spine xrays did and adjustment and had 2 consults for $59 which would have been $300 . I bought one for $50 for coronados primeveras rest which entitles us to $100 worth of food and $#*!tails. also one to Bice's downtownSD which is our favorite spots for $29 and it is for $65 for food and beverage. I could go on and on! Hey i just bought one 2 days ago for the miraval spa here for $150 whic is for an hour massage, gourmet lunch, aalll the classes(yoga) and sitting by they fab pool with $#*!tails. a whole day of fun!! a $ 350 deal1 they sold onlt 800 of thoses and they sold out in hours!!! anyway maybe you have not herd back cause they are swamped... i would continue calling... or you can always go to the groupon account and fill a complaint. they do not want un happy people so they would look into it for you!!
I regret not researching Groupon better before trying to purchase a groupon. I don't know whether the delay is due to them being busy, or what, but I am sitting without even a receipt to confirm a purchase. Hopefully I'll either get a receipt or my $$$ back, but as it is I consider it a painful lesson learned.
Have you guys heard of the new Groupon like site?
It's the same thing as Groupon except when someone signs up through your referral link, if they or anyone they sign up ever buys a coupon from this site (which you get in a daily e-mail), you earn 5% of the coupon purchase price!
Also, if you sign up a business and they ever offer a coupon, you get 2% of all of their sales on the coupon! (plus the normal 5%)
The site is launching in March 2011. Check it out:

Sorry, but Groupon are TERRIBLE. I recently had cause to complain to them and have heard nothing back. Before I summarise my complaints, I would like to add that a hairdresser friend told me that she has been approached by Groupon on numerous occassions and asked to overflate her real price dramatically, whereby they can reel in customers thinking they are getting a bargain!
Here are my wonderful experiences so far:-
1. Worst meal I have ever experienced in my life at a supposedly 'upmarket restaurant'.
2. Teeth Bleaching for £200. "Massive saving of £800" - went in there, was given a whole expensive list of cosmetic dentistry that I "need". Found out since that £200 is the standard price for the teeth bleaching at a dentist around the corner.
3. Let me cut and past what I have already written about this experience so far:-
"I have wanted for some time to try a little Botox on for size, and all attempts from others to turn me off the idea might as well have been made during my deaf period when I had to have my ears syringed. So today, intrepid explorer I am, found me pounding the pavement and into an office on Harley Street - dismal territory, may I never find myself on her shores again.
The waiting room was choc-a-bloc so the forms had to be filled in standing up. Looking around it was quite shocking to me to see many women in their early to late twenties who were already flawless to the eye, plus women older than myself whom I would be more than happy to look like and lay off the procedures. The only person I didn’t think looked good was a woman with a clipboard, herding the cattle, who had a face like Pete Burns.
I felt very uncomfortable in there and it just didn’t feel right. So much so it took me twenty minutes to pluck up the courage to “nip outside to make a phone call” and never look back. I did not want any of the jokers who ran that joint doing anything to my face. That had to be one of the most depressing experiences of my life.
Though I would like maybe to try again at a future time, somewhere a lot more professional, for now I think I would have far better results with more sleep, a better diet, a more positive attitude and less frowning."
Yep folks - stay away from Groupon.
I am currently trying to get a refund for a coupon that I purchased for a salon that would not honor it. The exact location of this salon was advertised on the Groupon site.
Yep. Groupons give the businesses the excuses "Groupon REQUIRED me to do that." and "You'll have to take your problem to Groupon - they handle all that" when they won't honor their coupons.
To follow up on my experience, I put in a comment about a business not providing ALL the services listed. I did this using the Groupon form.
Groupon contacted me in less than a day, and offered me an immediate FULL refund even though I was only requesting a partial refund. The also apologized profusely for the customer service I got from the business.
So I was very comfortable buying another Groupon today.
You really can't fault Groupon when a business turns out to just be crappy (like a restaurant with bad food). You gotta look up outside reviews on thr business before deciding if the Groupon is worth it.
I give Groupon a thumbs up for communication and immediately fixing problems with unreliable businesses. Groupon DOES listen.
If you don't get an immediate reply on a complaint, it is probably going to your spam folder (especially if you have Yahoo or Comcast - their spam filters are extra fussy from my experience).
I have always had great experiences with Groupon. I've purchased several Groupons and have had no trouble using them or being charged more than I should. Also, I'd add that I choose to purchase groupons that aren't too risky (bars, bowling, framed art, cafes etc.). I'd never purchase a groupon for dental services or BOTOX because I think someone looking to have such personal/technical services done first might want to research what they're getting themselves into.
I LOVE GROUPON and have used many of the deals. Love that it is in my area and I've never had a problem with a business accepting the groupon discount. Always watch the fine print but that should be common sense. (Common sense...not so common...) THANKS GROUPON.
I do not love Groupon and I spent lots of energy trying to contact O Spa until I finally gave up and asked for a refund.
Please watch this video before you buy any voucher:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2011/04/groupon_deals.html
I bought a voucher for remix cut and colour last week - for a brazilian blow-dry and have tried to get through to the salon every day since then but have only been able to get hold of a dubious sounding voice-mail for a mobile. I have emailed Groupon to complain and ask for a refund because this is clearly not the service I bought but they are yet to respond. Has anyone else had this experience with Remix Cut and Colour in Hamspted?
I purchased a voucher with Groupon for a live blood test at the Harley Clinic in April 2011. After several attempts at contacting the clinic they eventually telephoned me two months later to offer me an appointment. They offered me an appointment at 5.30pm on the very last day that the voucher was valid. When I said that was inconvenient they said that if I upgraded my package for an extra £150 they would be able to fit me in sooner. Without upgrading I could take or leave that appointment. They made it very clear that they had sold more vouchers that they could ever offer appointments, and were focused on booking those people who would be paying for additional services from them.
I called Groupon to notify them that this offer is clearly being used by the Harley Clinic as a scam to entice customers in before putting pressure on them to spend significantly more on additional services. I explained to the customer services manager Kabir that I felt Groupon owed me an apology (after all they have had my money for the last two months) and that this wasn't the kind of customer service I expected from such a large organisation. He was curt, unhelpful and clearly just wanted to palm me off by offering a refund. For a company that relies on word-of-mouth and is expanding so rapidly, treating customers with such discourtesy is naive.
I fully agree with your review. Caveat emptor, as always. We had a local deal that looked great but I didn't buy in because it was for organic meat and my comment to a friend was "with thousands of people buying, good luck finding live animals anywhere within a 30 mile radius for months!" It's no *different* than shopping in a store: plenty of retailers rip-off distributors, undercut manufacturers who undercut their employees (aka "sweat shops") and charge exorbitant shelf-stock fees. Capitalism is greedy and always after a deal. But, shop smart, know when a business is going to be legitimately willing to honour a deal and deal sites like Groupon are okay. I have personally shopped very carefully, bought multiple vouchers and never, ever had an issue.
Actually, Groupon really does stand behind their guarantee. Ive purchased several deals from them and recently had to request a refund for one I purchsed 5 months ago because the place moved locations making it inconvienent for me. I was issued a refund that same day, no questions asked. Awesome deals & Awesome customer service!!
Interesting to hear that. My experience is totally opposite as I bought a deal and the shop was unable to book me in for lack of availability. I've since tried twice to email Groupon for a refund and received no reply. I've then call their customer service line and they hang up on me. 20 days after I've still not received an apology and my refund. FRAUD!
I'm a little concerned as I have just purchased (or hoped to) an item costing £239 and the company are saying my voucher isn't valid. I have rang Groupon and not getting any reply, have emailed a couple of times and had an automated reply but hasn't been followed up with a call or reply. As Giulia says "FRAUD".
It takes a while to reach them by phone but keep trying. You really have to put the phone on speaker and wait it out while you do your thing. They have grown too fast and don't have the staff to accommodate the customer service issues. I had a bad experience and do not use Groupon any more but they did give me a full refund when I finally got through to them.
I've been trying all afternoon and still no joy. If I have no luck by Monday I shall take it further...working in a solicitors does have its benefits!!
Here is the deal with Groupon. You have to read all of the fine print and CONTACT THE VENDOR BEFORE YOU BUY!!!. Not all of the vendors will honor the coupon!. I did not have a good experience, ( specific hair salon advertised would not honor the coupon), and I won't use Groupon deals anymore. They are very difficult to reach by phone, although it is the best way to reach them (you have to call, set the phone on speaker and wait it out...maybe more than once), BUT, they will give a full refund. Definitely don't wait to contact them and keep a record of all failed attempts. You eventually will get a refund if you don't give up out of frustration. It's a live and learn thing. Buyer beware!!!
Thanks Mary, I will definitely not give up on this one. Wait and see!
update....eventually spoke to someone in groupon they confirm that they have validated my voucher and I should be able to activate it within 72 hours and order my goods, we shall see!
I bought a bunch of groupon stuffs/coupons. At first, everything came out perfect, I could re-deem all my coupons. I started trusting Groupon and bought more and more coupons from not only deal in my city but also in other cities. One beautiful morning, I logged to Groupon, they don’t let me access into that. I called my credit cards to cancel the recently transactions but the old ones I couldn’t get my money back. I know for sure that I still have a ton of coupons got robbed my Groupon.
Buyers should be aware of GROUPON. I never trust them again.
I had great experiences UNTIL I bought a weekend getaway. The hotel resort was not able to book any accommodations and the voucher expired. After contacting Groupon for a credit for the full amount ... as it was not our fault ... they have told us that they can only give a partial refund because all deals are subject to availability. So the $$$ I spent for this weekend getaway has gone straight into their pocket. Now that is a scam!!!! Hundreds of dollars gone! Never again. And they don't give a damn about customer service or retention!
The restaurant honored my groupon, but groupon did not. I redeemed the groupon and the appointed time for a restaurant. The server tried to redeem the groupon from my phone, but it said it was already redeemed! It was $20 for $40. So, if it was already redeemed, I should just get the $40, right? WRONG! All I got was the purchase price back. It wasn't the restaurant's fault because they spent 15 mins at the table trying to redeem it. It was the faulty app groupon made that redeemed coupon 20 mins before I got to the restaurant. Groupon is all fun and savings before they mess up. Don't even try to deal with their customer service. If you spent hundreds on a groupon (like a Groupon Getaway), just go straight to you state's consumer protection agency.
I see everyone lusting after these MBT shoes that "give you a workout" while you walk...and they are right. That design really does make you feel like you are walking on sand and gives you a good thigh/glut workout. MBT shoes are expensive as heck and when I wore my first pair out I couldn't afford the second. On DSW I found a sketcher knock off for less than 1/3 of the price of MBT and they work just as well, so check them out at a store or online.
I tried the so called atkins diet since the beginning of this year as my new years resolution and it didn't work nearly as well as I had hoped. Maybe it is because I am sick of eating meat. I have tried weight watchers in the past and that always worked well for me trying to get ready for bikini season.
I keep reading reviews here on sitejabber about people looking for adult dating sites and I can say many of those sites take quite a bit of work to find what you are "looking for". I would recommend taking a vacation using an agency like this and spending a week of bliss with other like minded people. Just make sure you hit the gym a couple months in advance cause you will be walking around naked most of the time. Not for the shy or faint of heart.
I have attended one of their workshops before and found them to be great teachers in the art of rope bondage. There are many people out there who claim to be masters in this but the knotty boys and Midori are the two which I always recommend. For newcomers to Shibari their books are pretty good but more for the advanced person. They travel around the country giving workshops and I highly recommend attending if you are at interested.
They have good prices and if you have an account with them they give you store credit if you buy enough BDSM toys. They have pretty much everything you could ever want from high end violet wands to run of the mill cuffs. They also have a wide selection of reasonably priced latex outfits for women. Their retail store is dedicated more towards men however they do have a wide selection of womens clothing as well.
There are some people looking for "fun" on various websites and I wanted to point out this website which is for a Jamaican resort for adult fun. It is mostly couples but there are many single guys that can go too. Yes single guys do get lucky on this island resort though you can not go expecting it. If you go I would recommend hedo 3 over hedo 2.
