I have been with AHS for over 15 years. Each year I said I would not renew but end up doing it. Today I have cancelled my service. Reasons are:

1. My refrigerator went out in Feb 2022. It is now Jun 2022, still not repaired by AHS. I keep getting the same response options, continue waiting for a part to arrive or have the board removed and sent in for repair. Sending the board in for take a minimum of 2 weeks, at which time I would have NO refrigerator at all. Somehow that seems like a reasonable response to AHS. I was able to find well known company to come out and it was repaired in 2 days. AHS will NOT refund me any money as they state I did not explicitly ask permission first.

2. My a/c finally died. Fully expected it to happen, so not a surprise. However AHS sent the wrong phone number to the clown service they selected, not once but twice. When I called the vendor to find out when they were coming out, they said in 3 days since I did not answer the phone when they called. They informed me of the phone number they had and it was the WRONG number. They would be willing to come out the next day if I paid an additional $150 service call fee on top of the already paid fee. I contacted AHS who once again gave the wrong phone number out to the vendor. I have no idea where they got that phone number, never had it or used it. I requested AHS to send another vendor instead. They told me they would do that and confirmed the phone number. AGAIN, they gave the wrong phone out. When I was finally able to determine who the new vendor was, I contacted them and was told by the wife of the owner, who answered the phone, it was too late to schedule any appointments. It was 4:45pm on Friday. They were going out of town and would schedule the repair when they returned, in 3 days at the earliest. This is all transpiring in Phoenix, AZ. It was 110 degrees and was expected to match or go higher over the next week. I finally called someone else. A complete new unit was installed before I got a call from any so-called AHS vendor to schedule a service call. AHS will NOT refund me any money as they state I did not explicitly ask permission first.

Well they have now lost a very long-time customer. It feels to me like they don't even care. How sad it is that money is the more important thing in the world to some businesses. If the customer is happy, that's a bonus, if not, just part of doing business.

Tip for consumers:
That AHS will pick out fine points of the contract to deny any coverages.

Products used:
Another well known local vendor.

We first used Stanley Steemer and were happy with the service. We bought one of their 12 month contracts. They do not allow you to book appointments online using the contract, but you can for anything else, (odd?). They try to up sale on every visit. When we told them at the end of the contract we were not going to renew, the service was just horrible. Areas that appeared to have not been touched, despite being pointed out to them upon arrival. A sick dog does leave a mess. I would have been more understanding if they had done something and said they tried. NOTHING done. They were in and out of our home in just over an hour. That was "cleaning" 3 bedrooms, family room, living room, and a couple of other areas, including moving the furniture. Never again will I call them. I am not a fan of up selling after you have made an agreement. I get it when negotiating but not after the fact.

I have been with Thumbtack for over 5 years. Initially the cost to quote was reasonable. The charge was by a credit. Then they slowly raised the rates for the credits. Then they raised the number of credits required to send a quote. Now they have gone to this practice of the vendor having no idea what the cost will be. They will not tell you up front. They continually say it is a complicated process, varies by quote. However, if you receive any type of contact with the potential customer, you are charged immediately. Why can they not say what the cost is if they can bill immediately? They have become too big and now the vendors who helped get them there are being squeezed. In addition to the raising of the cost to quote, they have also tripled the number of vendors who can quote on a project. They say this is what the vendor asked for. Really? I doubt that very much. Be very careful if you decide to go with them.

I use Amazon for both same day and future day deliveries. They have always stood behind the products. Highly recommend.

I went to this dealership today in order to buy a Grand Cherokee. I told them on the phone 3 times what I was looking for what my payment I was willing to pay. They told me no problem we have a vehicle for you come on out. I did that when I get there the story changed, they were no longer were able to find a vehicle that would match that payment amount. This was 30 minutes after I have spoken to them on the phone. When I mentioned I was went to go to AirparkDodge Jeep in Scottsdale, someone from this dealership called the other dealership and spoke to their friend named Dennis, and warned them I was coming. They then proceeded to give Dennis my phone number and other information which is unethical at best, and probably illegal. I intend to let the owner of the dealership and Chrysler know. I know this happened because Dennis called me within minutes of me leaving that dealership and pretended to be someone he was not.

Firstly, let me start with the positive, the loan process went very smooth, delivered everything as promised, always able to get in touch with my loan officer Steve Kincheloe. I give him 5 stars.

Below is the bad news.

I had a loan with Veterans United. I refinanced it to a different company at 2 points less. This made them very mad, to the point of calling me and telling me so. They have been sitting on my escrow refund for over 6 weeks now. It is just shy of $3,600. Every time I speak to someone, I get a different story, from check was sent 5 weeks ago, even though they cannot give me a check number or tracking information. I called multiple times and was never allowed to speak to the same "supervisor" twice. I get another email from Customer Service (name withheld) telling me the check has been mailed out. I was on the phone with a supervisor at the time of receiving it and was told that it was incorrect. The check would be sent via overnight and I would receive it the next day. One week later, after daily phone calls getting the same story, I am finally given a check number. This "proves" the check has been issued but has not been received by the correct internal dept. to send it out. We will overnight it and you will have it "by the of the week", according to a supervisor. Not sure what those jerks use for calendars but this was on a Monday, overnight would make receiving it Tues. Everyone I speak to has a different story. I asked if this was their Standard Procedure or they just made it up as they went along. They cannot be trusted at anything. I was told on last Friday the check would be overnighted but that FedEx does not deliver on weekends. WRONG. At the time I was told the check was in house, now the weekend has passed and the check has disappeared and is nowhere to be found. The check shows online as being issued one time, 4 days ago, not 6 weeks ago as they claim. I once thought they were a good company and gave them high marks. Apparently I was wrong. Somehow they always seemed to be able to get info to me when they needed it. I wish I could take back my previous review.

My review was rejected twice. The first time I had put names of the people I dealt with, so I figured that was why (even though they allow names when it is positive). So I took them out, and it was still rejected. They only want positive reviews. Their estimated values are never very close according to my loan officer and 3 different agents I worked with in buying my current home. Below is my rejected review.

  • WeeklyPlus

I ran a deal as a merchant, received only a single partial payment. Have had customers calling me that bought the deal complaining that Weekly Plus does not return calls or emails to them. I can attest to that, I as a merchant would especially expect to receive some response. So they got to keep all of the money, would not refund to any customer and will not pay me. I refused to honor the deal to the customers since I was not going to be paid. EVERYONE I spoke to or emailed, agreed, I should not have to be out of pocket due to Weekly Plus. What a SCAM. One star is too high.
